Add Microsoft Store version to steam?

Hi all, I got the freebie from Amazon on wanted to link it up to steam but I cannot seem to be able to do so?

Does anyone know how/if I can add the windows store version to steam?

to play with windows store version on steam you could add it as a non-steam game using the button in the bottom left of the library, but probably not what you're looking for, that would let you launch it using steam, and in most cases the overlay would work, but that's it, it won't be a "steam game" that way, just adds a shortcut so you can launch it via steam.

As for the claiming of amazon things, maybe someone else can help you there, I refuse to use that company for anything.

the irony is you can have a bethesda account for a free game but it still costs money to own the steam version.

You can't really sadly. Steam doesn't fully support adding UWP apps.

I was able to kind of workaround this issue by adding it as a non steam game to my library in a script I exported as an .exe. All the script does is execute the game and then wait for the game to close. Then the script exits itself. That way my friends can at least see when I'm playing the game in Steam.

Anyone maybe know the reverse? Is it possible to transfer the game from steam to Microsoft store?

From the Bethesda Launcher Days, it was a Bethesda Account. So, If your Microsoft version, links to Bethesda Account, they you could link a Steam Account to, the Bethesda Account.
I linked my Bethesda Account from the Bethesda Launcher to Steam.

After Wastelanders did not download did not work for 3 days, of crashing and restarting the download.

But, you would have to buy a STEAM copy, and you don't Get any Atoms, from your Microsoft Account, nor Season Tickets. So you have to spend those before transfer.
If you could do it, maybe do it, at the start of the next season, after you spent all your Atoms, and Tickets. Anything you Purchased will transfer. Otherwise, it will be stuck on that launcher. If it still works like it did, for the Bethesda Launcher to STEAM transition.

So, does Microsoft have you create a Bethesda Account?
Then you may able to transfer it, If you buy a Steam Copy. Same maybe true if you have to link a Microsoft Account Bethesda. I don't know, Just a thought.

I don't know, I think my Microsoft Store version expired, never activated it.

At least you could have, gotten, the Vault 33 Backpack, with out jumping through too may hoops.
