I was thinking to make a op build but Im not sure. I dont want the game to get boring and all that
No, it won't get boring. You can run an anti-armor auto weapon with food/cola build for near invincibility; similar options exist for Vampires legendary effect on auto weapons. The thing you're going to run into most is AP drain. Even with the replenish AP legendary effects on the auto weapon and exploiting mass-explosive damage in conjunction you will run out of AP in the more major events if you go hard on the offensive as other melee would. AP replenishing food en masse is the best option.
Junkies build would also be really fun to see as well; could get some good DPS if you farm enough chems. But if you wanna just specialize in being able to run Mutated Daily Ops, a specific event, PvP, whatever, you can do so with auto weapons while not being OP for the rest of the game.
Long story short that's entirely up to you; you can find or make the god rolls to have a meta build if you want. Or you can run around as a dude in a straight jacket and a chainsaw blowing yourself up for Take One For The Team legendary effect and similar such. Play how you want; it's entirely your call.
(Equips PA and crossbow. PvP initiated)
Though I have now slain Absy, eat your words, Squirrely!
Won't be that way forever.
That's what they said about nuka-grenades. And the silo skip. And the dark art of item duping. Yet here we are.
In this case it's already in action with the PTS.
Eventually the game will get more balancing as Bethesda are co-developing with a company called The Multiplayer Group that specialise in online games.
I'm sure they face palmed at the state of the game and if BGS take their advice on board we might see a very different game. That or BGS like wasting money...
But I still don't know what they were thinking making it a player vs player game. Well, I know they were thinking, "Even if the game sucks, people will buy that."
Even as a cooperative game, the balance is way off to the point where certain events can't be completed - which is annoying since the game gives zero guidance regarding making effective builds. I know, it's not that hard to make effective builds, but would be nice if the events scaled themselves to some degree (such as having even more fearsome monsters unlock if your party did a certain amount of damage).
Ahhh, a fellow immortal! 🫡
chainsaws / autoaxes have VERY fast hit rates
they are also powerful and with a melee damage build easily hit the 110 vs players unless you have anti melee pvp perks to counter and its still generally one of the higher pvp dps you can do
vs PvP players melee is more of a joke weapon, something to pull out for giggles
the lack of range and overall low damage / effect vs other things makes it niche
