Used to be a stealth player with Chinese stealth armor and full sneak attack sniper, but i like kicking the door in and painting the room with lead so much more.
The game has become so easy that tactics are useless.....just jump in the middle of a mob with something belt-fed and go nuts.
Actually I played first 150 levels or so in the Chinese Stealth Suit(at least from level 35).
Then switched to SS armor for about 100 levels. PA since then.
Feels like it attracts a lot of simple minded players too, not saying every user is, but most times an event's optional is ruined or a legendary is killed before we get a chance to tag it, it's often some jerk in power armor with some ridiculous legendary effect who's level 300+
But what's the alternative? I guess be another one of those people who sit at 20% health and 80% rads at all times to reap those benefits..
Makes me wish the game was co-op instead of a sort of MMO.
With a flamer? I'd actually forgotten that thing even existed.. I've never seen such a thing happen. You sure it's not that new Cremator you unlock on the scoreboard? Cremator shoots single shots of fire, kinda like the auto grenade launcher.
Oh boy, the two shot MIRV launchers, lmao
I can't say much in that regard, my main character is an explosives build. Feels like I built them up like crap though since my damage is overshadowed by most other people which feels like it defeats my purpose. Takes too long to level up and revise my build now though so it just hits me with the feeling that I need to just.. Start over and do it again, but this game is pretty bad about handling alts.
Yes, the mighty two-shot MIRV, when someone use that monster in my direct vicinity, i cant decide if i can actually taste the radiation, or if it is the vapors from my monitor melting.
Alting is something i tried and refused, they cant pay me enough to go through that slog of a story again. While i am heavy weapons ballistic, like you i am overshadowed by everyone with a peashooter(at least it feels like it) so i concentrate on killing adds/reviving people and just have fun. Like life there is always someone prettier or better around and with the influx of new meat thanks to the show, there is enough to revive at events. In my opinion, when someone reach lvl 300 and unlocking the last legendary perk, they should be able to freely respec however and whenever they wish for free, since by then they have seen and done everything there is. Keeping leveling to get a new build only to realiize you have scrapped something essential for perk points by mistake is just insulting.
On the topic of PA, does anyone knows if the Raider PA is actually used?, i have never once seen a player with that equipped. Now i can behind the idea if not wanting looking like a scrap-heap it is always the same Powah armors i see lumbering around: x-01, excavator, and the T-65, while pretty looking, i miss the MadMax feel a wasteland should have. Or is it that bad of a armor to use?......
I think the raider power armor gave small bonuses to chems which are pretty trivial especially compared to in the game when it released. I believe It also has pretty weak baseline stats compared to more "modern" suits.
It's still PA. You might enjoy a Blood Eagle RP too. Melee in PA was more fun when first person boosted your speed. Terror with a combat knife.
Playing in bloodied power armor build, using assassin sentinel on all power armor parts. Using the T-65 power armor, with emergency protocols on the chest armor. On emergency protocols, the dmg is reduced by 50% and speed increased by 25% if health is under 20%. With so much dmg resistance its good to have dodgy perk to act like an extra health bar with the cost of ap so we take like 0 dmg. Heavy build don't use vats so much on most weapons.
Then there are the stablizied perk for extra accuracy and armor penetration, its essential for power armor build.
At higher levels the first legendary perk to get is taking one for the team, its like stealth dmg increase but opposite. You increase dmg by 40% dmg for the whole party if the enemy attacks you.
Commando stealth is higher dmg, if you use allowed exploits or methods to deal massive dmg. Some stuff have been overlooked by the balance team, like having 100% ap all the time for the enclave plasma. Same with the old melee build with the 65k crits, but that one got nerfed to the ground. Balancing stuff too much might hurt the game alot aswell, since some gear can take years to find.
