Is there a easy spot to farm or get wood? been trying to build a base and I am so wood starved as well as concrete and didnt know if there was a good farm spot without having to spend caps for the materials at someone elses caps any tips would be solid!

Helvetia - at the yellow house at the bridge. the wood store is covered.

Sylvie & Sons logging camp - on the sides of the tent. There are also many tree trunks around the camp from which you can get wood.

yes, that's also a good idea to collect wood.
maybe the easiest way when you haven't located the places i wrote.

There was a time when I camped the lumber mill down from Vault 76 - if you place it just right, you get both wood "generator" spots.

Then I stopped because
A. almost always other camps were blocking it and
B. the stuff is literally everywhere to pick up.

Don't even know if the camp spot still works since the addition of the Responders there, but yeah it's not needed at all.

Of all the things you can be short of, wood shouldn't be one of them

Pickett's Fort, in the Toxic Valley (Far North-East, east of Crater) also has a large, amount of Wood Piles, Just like Helvetia.

Concrete is a bit harder, look up a "fallout 76 map" to see if you can find one with, concrete resource points, on the map. There are some bags of concrete about, but not much.

Workshops are Player Vs. Player Areas, and if you don't have your junk stashed, you can lose the junk. So, if you have the stash space, you could try that, but the "junk hunters" are about, hunting the new players for their junk at workshops.

It's true, forests are littered with wood. Sometimes I can wander around in them for quite a while looking for farmable wood, though. I think it would be more beneficial for TC to know of specific locations with relatively large amounts in one spot.

How much wood do you actually need?

There's no shortage of deadfall all over the place. There's tons of it between Vault 76 and Wayward. There's also a ton of it outside Flatwoods as you head out past Red Rocket station in the dried river bed area that runs from agricultural center towards bridge.

Between these two areas, you have enough wood to build Taj Mahal. Both areas are low level and most deadfall is in clusters which makes gathering plentiful and expedient. These areas also offer a plethora of other gathering items/ingredients.

I mean I am in the process of building my base and just seem to run out I currently cant complete my base and mind you its not that big even but in the wild ill go by tress and branches and cant farm them and every now an then I find some logs or dead tress an get like 6 off a pull which thats enough for one whole wall thats hype! lol so yeah ima have to check around vault 76 or some of the other POI people mentioned because I would say I need a good amount at least to get my base stuff done.

Collect wood walking from Gilman Lumber(just south of vault 76) down the road to Flatwoods. You'll collect more than you can carry in one load without being over encumbered.

also im buying bulk wood from npc when im lazy and dont want to collect, yes sometimes i really run out of wood and need it.

I would buy it but I dont wanna waste the caps and I find farming caps to be harder than resources as well xD I got to player camps an they have items for sale that are like 20K caps or 50K and I am struggling to hold on to 10K caps a lot of the time lol
