Verdict on the Cremator?
Still working my way down the board to get all the mods and rolling up a decent legendrary, but what do YOU think about it?

Looks cool, but in reality Holy Fire is much better.
It's about to get teh nerf. As per test server.
I had a dream that it was much better than it really is. Then I woke up and went back to the Holy Fire. Maybe it'll be a meta weapon if they add curse and lower the fuel amount.
Wait until you get all the Mod. I rolled a Assassins and it's great with Multi-barrel for doing Tax Evasion. 1 shot-pick up 30 fuel off of a group of Tax Collectors(30 each)
Thing eats anything in it's way, It's name is fitting for sure.
I like it for certain Events and running around -BUT- I seem to get stupid and Die allot by burning myself to Death. Just can't stop pulling the Trigger sometimes.
Cremator is really good against group of mobs. Also works against reflective mutation if its not a direct hit. Using bloodied aim damage cremator. It also works on scorch beast since vats turn the projectiles to homing missiles. However it get nerfed in the next patch, dmg gets increased but the dot effect get heavly nerfed.

That's a buff, dot damage math has always been garbage in f76. So increaing initial over dot is a buff.

Might be better on bosses, but the dot nerf was change to 20 flat dmg per tick. The dot was very good on the cremator. They say the nerf was greater than the buff.

I think the resistance from the mob affect the dmg from the dot. Still see it takes away 10% of their health in one tick on the gulpers. With a bloodied cremator.

The cremator is pretty busted, if you use this weapon with a vats setup watch bosses melt in like a minute or two. It is very ammo hungry however.
Haven't even unlocked it. Now I'm glad I saved my tickets.
Not sure why you would research the damage from cremator on normal super mutants since they get 1-2 shotted by most bloodied weapons. Super mutants at higher level do have fire resistance, maybe not the lowest ones at level 5. Prius, fighters and gladiators are quite common at higher levels. Some of them have 200 fire resistance. Even those are quite weak at higher levels, so the resistance might not be noticeable.

The reasons is that Super Mutants are actually mid tier enemies so they are not weak like ghouls, scorth, mole miners, mole rats, wolfs, hounds and so on and on, they are not as strong as anglers, gulpers, fog crawlers, SB, Mirelurk King/Queen and so on and on, so thats why testing mid tier enemies like Super Mutants are great.

But try and test the impact fire damage on something like SB, Mire Lurk Queen and DeathClaws and Giant Super Muntant, and then test the DoT aswell, you will see that even on higher tier enemies the impact fire damage is alot better than the DoT, even if the DoT damage is stronger than the impacts damage, the impact damage is still taking away more health than the DoT.
As i wrote before the impact damage is fire damage just as the DoT is fire damage so both gets lesser damage from their fire resistance but the DoT is just not working correctly.
Also as i wrote before, this is not something new, this has been the case allways.
Alright, I just see most mobs get one shotted by the cremator, the straglers get killed by the dot with the remaining 10% health. Those that don't get one shotted are usually the flame thrower super mutants, it take two to kill them. Don't have much to research on except from bosses.

It do around 1000 dmg on gulpers closest to the impact area, non stealth. Sometimes 5 gulpers get killed by one shot. 1200 if I aim down sight. Dmg numbers from dot is never shown.

The flamer is stronger overall. But have lesser range. Using a B25 flamer, trying to reroll the stats on the holy fire so it have the same stats as my flamer. If the cursed effect is still on then it might be more powerful. But the cremator can be turn in to homing missile launcher with vats.

Stopped using stealth on heavy after taking one for the team. Since stealth is quite useless on heavy, because it breaks too fast. Because that legendary perk works on all shots instead of only the first shots as long I got aggro.
