in the original skyrim. on PC. when you entered 3rd person mode you would get 1/2 second input lag if you strafed left or right on the keyboard. that didn't exist on controller, only the keyboard. the moment you enter first-person view the input lag is gone.
in skyrim. their #1 game.
there is a fix if you modded the game, but you had to mod the game see. the average player doesn't do that and they likely stayed in first person the whole game.
i don't know if that bug was fixed in the 22nd skyrim release or the 2nd version of skyrim released on pc
i'd mention that if you still have the save and care to beat it in the discord, you're bound to find some modder that knows their stuff and how to manually move the quest giver above the map and/or patch the ground from them falling through it.
Okay here is another one. They removed the tile in the shower, only to find the tiles were falling off because the cement board was wet and rotting. But instead of removing the rotten boards and fixing the main issue... they put up new tiles. Better?
Basically what I am saying is, If I installed a toilet... And it did not flush correctly because I used an old flush valve (source code)... from and older game/toilet, that also had the same problem... I would be fired.
Yes it's a good game to play in 2024.
Fire their marketing team; more specifically, demote whoever forces them to implement such customer-estranging sales tactics.
Hey beth/MS, it's virtual stuff. It costs money to pay artists and programmers and the rest of your teams but you should be maintained them anyway. Guild wars 2 still manages to make prettier stuff and make their customers happier - that's just sad, man. That game is terrible. Pretty, but it's a freaking WoW clone - the game that taught devs lazy world interaction still sold and allowed for something like unreal 5 to be underdeveloped. Yeah lets give customers LESS that's a great idea - No, sorry, I'd rather play an indie game that lets me do what I want. Anyway, massive digression. Yeah you can still make money producing crap but all you're doing is taking a dump and selling it; being remembered as the poo salesmen will be thine mark on history. Is that what you want, sweet Marketing bosses?
1 Organize your damn build menu. Things a mess. You have an excellent system to replace scoreboards that will cut down on clutter as an excellent mechanic to get you started.
2 Virtual stuff - give customers more. Pay your people more to give them better stuff. They will want to play more, and they will be more willing to drop real money on stuff they know isn't going to be a freaking scam. You'd have ten times the whales or more had 76 products at Launch not been such a scam. Seriously, this stuff should be basic; I can't see the actions taken here as anything but intentional sabotage; they had to know the customers were going to be PISSED.
3 was there a 3? Oh right. Just be legitimate in your business deals. People will want to buy more of your products.
*Quality sells itself. Eliminate these terrible attitudes and that will be shown; removal of those in management that promote other objectives and you'll find the game quite functional in short order. You'll also see sales increase. Not a fan of removing any good worker, but not everyone is meant for direction/management. Or sales. Other positions might be more appropriate.
One of my favorite storys to tell is about Skyrim and a Tree right outside of Riverwood.
Go over the Bridge coming from Riverwood in any Version of Vanilla Skyrim and on the Right side theres a Tree with birds in it, everytime you come close they fly away but there still like 20 or so stuck in the tree itself making wierd noises, in no vanilla version of skyrim that was ever fixed and its really easy to find and has been reported (at leats by me) a couple of times.
Great when it works, fun even, but oh boy the bugs.
Back then you needed to hunt down (physical) gaming magazines for their update CDs, and I think Daggerfall needed like 8 (!) or so before it was halfways playable, didn't crash after 1 minute or even start, immediately drop you in unwinnable random dungeons or borked the main questline for stupid reasons.
This is not to excuse anything, to be clear, but this company was always halfassed with great ideas but medium to horrible execution, if you are not a bit of a masochist, you will not have a good time, least not a polished one.
We get it. There's bugs. They've long been known for that. This isn't really news or a new discussion. We're just beating a dead horse here.
Why should they when they have players that pay for the privilege of testing and fixing their games for them.
