Expert lockpick perk card turned into Basic lockpick card

I actually started a new game because I messed up my lockpick skill in the first game.

I started at level 20 this time, and I had the Expert Lockpick perk card right away, which I applied, and then as soon as I was going to get a basic level 1 lockpick, apply that, too.

However, going back into my game, the Expert level Lockpick card is now just the level 1 card and the Expert Card is not available any more.

Will I ever get another one? Am I screwed? Should I abandon this game? I've only been playing a week and

Stop! Don’t abandon your game! You aren’t screwed. You can and will get additional lock pick cards.

Please note. Lock picking and hacking are weird. You will find level 0 through level 3 locks. Level 0 locks don’t require any perk cards to be slotted. Level 1 locks require a single ranked card to be slotted. It can be Lock pick/Expert Lock pick / Master Lock Pick. A Level 2 lock requires any two of those cards to be slotted. So regardless of whether your card was expert or base. You could only pick level 1 locks. Just play the game and you will get more cards. Play long enough and you will be swimming in them.

Yes do not abandon your game.

All lock pick and hacking cards are only 1 star. They cannot be ranked up. You just add them in the amount equal to the level of the lock or terminal you are trying to access. You will get many cards as you play and be able to get them all again easily.

you are able to equip a legendary perk at level 50, 75, 100, and so on. one of the perks is called infiltration master. it automatically hacks terminals and picks locks.

it can be upgraded to automatically pick/hack up to level 3 locks since it starts at level 0. (you will still be able to manually lockpick/hack levels 1 - 3 at any tier though.)

i recommend you choose this as it frees up card slots and it is useful, saves time and bobby pins.

It also makes it very easy to get wanted by accidentally clicking when near owned locks in players camps for example. It is purely a QoL perk, nothing more as you can do the same thing by just swapping out the perk cards. I think it is a total waste of a legendary perk slot myself when there are ones so much better like legendary specials.

Thanks! I decided to stick with my second game, though now I cannot access purchased items that I had in the first game (Repair kits that I bought with my Atoms.)
