Low HP non-PA build(Unyielding) + Bloodied Gauss Minigun = worth it or nah?
Worth a try or it's pointless and it's best not to mix heavy guns with low-hp non-pa builds?

Bloodied Gauss Minigun:
  • Bloodied
  • +25% DMG When aiming
  • -25% AP cost

The main reason people use PA with heavy guns is because of a Lv. 36 INT perk called Stabilized = In Power Armor, heavy guns gain more accuracy and ignore 15%/30%/45% armor.

Stabilized increases the player character's accuracy and reduces a target's physical Damage Resistance and Energy Resistance. Also if you're using an Anti-Armor weapon, the perk's armor reduction bonus is cut by 50% making the accuracy and ignore 7.5%/15%22.5%.

Without Stabilized Single hit damage
Earle = 12
Randal = 53
Ultracite Abomination = 17
SBQ = 19
Other Monsters = 54 to 161

With Stabilized Single hit damage
Earle = 14
Randal = 65
Ultracite Abomination = 22
SBQ = 24
Other Monsters = 67 to 162

I have full SS unyielding build and it rocks with every weapon, when built correctly with perk cards.

The edge to understand about Bloodied is that the bonus is percentage based. With low HP Resistances are vital. So my general idea is to pad out as high a base HP as possible, then get an idea of where the line is for max Damage. Without PA, Synergistic Unyielding Armor will be required to properly Tweak things.

Gun looks fine just understand that without PA, there is no other Ignore Armor.

You'll lose out on the + armor penetration perk card for not being in PA with a heavy weapon.

Also, that 25% dmg while aiming does not apply to VATS just FYI.

It's an OK gun. I'd still script it though. I'd rather it be Vampiric FFR X if I was low health non-PA.
