Can you transfer from Microsoft store to Steam

Got the game for free with amazon prime, I'd rather have it on steam. Just didn't know if there was a way to transfer my character or it was 2 different databases? Shouldn't I be able to just sign into my bethesda acc on steam when i Buy this game and just use the same acc. that is linked to the microsoft store one?? Hopefully this makes sense.

The characters on PC are cross compatible. Only console isn't compatible. I also own on Microsoft Store/GamePass and on Steam, and if you have both installed you can claim daily Atom store stuff twice as well. However, Atoms are separate and you'll need to contact Bethesda support to transfer Atoms to your steam edition.

you can link steam account to bethesda account with microsoft linked to it and play same character, I get the daily shop item on both

Atoms are launcher specific. But, items purchased with atoms can be used on both launchers.

FO1st perks will only be available on the launcher where you bought the subscription.
