Crashing on login
Just like the title says, every time I attempt to login to my Bethesda account the game hard crashes. I've verified the files, updated my drivers, ran the game as administrator, and even made sure direct X was up to date. I shrimply do not know what else to do to just get past the login screen.

Did you do some custom ini changes by chance?

I have the same issue. Recently re-downloaded game. Verified the game files, disabled my firewall, re-linked my Steam account with Bethesda, nothing has worked. Game freezes at the "Signing in..." part.

I do not have any mods or any custom ini changes.

I am having the same issue and have done the same things to try and rectify it. Freezes up every time I try to login at the "Signing In..." screen.

Be patient and don't try to login the second it shows up. Most people will say to wait until the monster shows up just to be safe.

A quick update for anyone who reads this in future. I finally got the game to work! I took all of the following steps and honestly I wish I could tell you exactly which one got it to work but unfortunately I have no clue myself.

1. Checked my file integrity
2. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
3. Updated my GPU drivers
4. Updated and applied any outstanding windows updates
5. Opened the Fallout76Prefs.ini file and set bFullScreen= 1
6. Ensured that my DirectX was up to date
7. Disabled Riot Vanguard (Because alas I play League)
8. Reset my Bethesda.net password and made sure that I had the exact spelling and casing of my user name
9. waited a solid 2 minutes after the game actually booted to try to log-in

In all honestly I was on the verge of just refunding it. The fact that an issue like this exists with so many possible causes is just insane. While I was digging around online I consistently saw people saying that having alternative Task Managers like Processor Explorer open also causes this issue, its kinda absurdist TBH. Anyhow I hope that this may help anyone else in my shoes later on.
