Right now is a really good time to start playing 76. I preordered it back then and it was honestly ♥♥♥♥. Now I came back because some friends played it and its so much fun. I strongly suggest yall give it a try. And if you want you can add me so I can show you the ropes a bit :yazdwink:

it has been worth it since launch six years ago (obviously there are players and just people who think otherwise). I worked around early bugs and kept playing. I enjoy the season activities and the special events. Just finished the current season and now I will play other things until the next season starts.

If I had a cap for every time someone created this thread I'd have enough to buy all the plans in the game.

I don't think you'd like this game since it doesn't spoon feed you all the info you need. You have to know how to do super complex things like using the search function of steam or google.

worth it if you catch a big sale and dont sub. most definitely.

i got it for 10bucks one time purchase, no sub, and im milking fun for 228 hours so far.

it's very janky and can get frustrating but def worth 10 bucks if you catch a 80% sale lol

i dont really feel the need to sub either. it's not needed if you don't mind the extra management/vendor trips.. there's pressure... but it's not needed.

Well, let me put it like this. I think the game is very mediocre. I think Fallout 4 is very mediocre aswell.
To me, F76 in it's current state is literally Fallout 4.5

Best time to start playing. This game builds up slowly, you need to hit level 100 before things become easier.

Its been thrash ever since level scaling became a thing, such a shame.

its mid and bland as af
its hard to imagine someone actually not having anything better to do than play this

Yeah, I'm a Fallout fan that didn't play it when it first came out. My interest was piqued when I saw it on sale and had done Borderlands 3 to death. Google reviews indicated that previous criticism of an empty world had been attended to with various updates.
So I bought it and have played for a couple of hundred hours.
So while interest is high it's probably a good time to play.
Maybe if numbers drop off it won't be so good with respect to the public events if nobody comes and also if there are fewer blast zones to collect ingredients from.

Ask me next year when I hit 7 years.

i love the game. unlike fallout 4...everything works and it's super easy to build a base.

it's free if you have amazon prime. that's how I got it. it's meh.

Endgame is horizontal progression, so there's no "falling behind".

You're good. Don't worry about being behind. There's a lot of new players right now, and it's not a big deal starting out now. I played in 2018 but restarted recently. You can choose to start your new character at level 1 or jump to level 20. My new character hit level 200 today.

A lot of stuff is scaled to your level. I'd be playing with my son fighting the same enemy and on my screen it might be level 100 and on his it might be level 20.

The game has been running since 2018 and is still being supported with new updates. We're not likely to see Fallout 5 for many years so 76 is likely to be left carrying the Fallout torch for a while yet.

Go ahead and jump on in. Just understand up front that this is a MMO set in the Fallout universe, and not a regular Fallout. If you're happy to play an MMO, come join us.
