Crash to desk top no lag just BAM your out in like 10 seconds!

As stated ever since the patch this has been happening. Any one else having issues?? Ty
EDIT: Just crashes straight to desk top no freeze or minor if any , no black or blue screens no lock ups just BAM straight to desk top as stated.

Yeah it seems like every time I try and do a event I been crashing to desktop without fail. I do not remember it being this bad before this new update.

Yeah I've also been crashing whenever I even bother opening the world map to head to an event or just to continue fast traveling to my daily challenges. This wasn't an issue prior so I'm almost certain it has to do with the recent update.

the previous posters I tried to help didn't answer this question so I had to abandon them.

For me it freezes, goes into a black screen, then right back to desktop after just trying to open the world map or sometimes trying to view/edit my perk cards

Same thing is happening here. The game will freeze then I get a black screen and I am kicked to the desktop. Seems to be only doing this during events for me, have been shooting at enemies or reloading when this happens. When I am not doing events the game runs fine. I can get into combat/reload weapon, open my map, quick travel or look at my perk cards with no trouble at all.

I've been having the same issue since the patch. At first, running it as admin worked. Now, nothing works. Not disabling the overlay, or firewall, or compatibility mode. Drivers are up to date. Everything is as it should be.. but a few seconds after the "press a key" part, it locks up. Whatever they did in that patch borked the game.

Oh and i am running on an Alienware Aurora R11. i9-10900k @ 3.7GHz, 32Gb DDR4 @ 3200MHz, Geforce RTX 2080 SUPER.

I don't have it installed on my C drive. I install a lot of games on an external, I like to think it saves wear on my SSD heh. It's fine for older games.. and its never been a problem before.

Edit: Waiting for each screen to change normally and then giving a few more seconds before "pressing a key" let me get in (and i still ran it as admin).
