Events are causing complete FO76 crashes.

4th time recently Ive invested alot of time into an event, Ive actually lost large amounts of ammo now to events only to have the game completely freeze and crash to desktop, and I lose all rewards. Really getting sick of it, its near unplayable for me.
This is the only game to do this, I run Dragons Dogma at near max settings with zero issue. Ive reached out to a friend I know who also plays fo76 and said he crashes when things get heavy during an event too, its not all the time, maybe 10%-20%, but it happens. Anyone else?
Not sure if this is an optimization issue or what, but Id love to see or just hear in some way this is being addressed, as apposed to droves of pay-for skins chugging through.
I know its hard for companies to focus QoL over more time spent on ringing profit from pockets.
Where do we even submit tech issues? Cant via game, they only want to hear about issues related to $$$. That is all i can select. Seriously. Bit of a red flag...no?

Did you verify your game files?

Could be corrupted files, Steam updating process isn't always 100% successful.

If you did but still crash at specific locations / events, you'd have to go the Bethesda website, they do have (slow) support there.

This was happening allot to me years ago in this game-I did some upgrades to my computer's and they seem to handle it very well now. My second computer I use for a 2nd account was moving slow and would crash when things got heavy at the Queen event, I upgraded from a 1050Ti to a 2070(used) and things are much better now. My first computer had a 1080ti that seemed to be made for this game but I upgraded to a 4070ti 2 months ago and changed some Graphic settings and capped the Frames. Now zero problems so far.
The first thing I did was I went from 16gb of ram to 32gb. This cleared up allot of the colors and flash Bangs and slowing down during events-Later I added the other things.

Same here. Not using VATS during the Alien event seems to stop it. At least it did for me. Sucks, I'm running a critical commando build, but if it keeps me from C2D, fine.

Yeah VATS seems to be what is causing me to crash too. Joy and my rifleman build is built around VATS and dealing critical damage also. Guess I got to switch to my heavy weapons build for the time being.

UPDATE: It is still crashing and I am not even using VATS this time, so I am not sure what is going on with this game.

It's already been posted on Reddit and now people have been posting the same post on steam. From what I read this has been going on for as long as the event been in the game. I guess if it's not a big enough deal they don't worry about it.

I've been having an issue myself as well and it mostly has to do with viewing the map or perk cards that cause the game to freeze for a bit then resume like normal. Eventually it will just crash my game. What I find odd is the game overall is running smoother than ever but its only when I try viewing the map it has a small issue.
And to show that it's not a me issue and probably how poorly optimize the game is, I can run Helldivers in a long 4 hour session at max graphics without issue but this game can't handle me opening the freaking map or perk cards.

After the last update, this has happened twice now to me. It's extremely annnoying and frustrating as f*ck. Before the last skyline dlc everything was relatively perfect. Yeah, some really old bugs are still there, but this game has become a sh*tshow since that Skyline update. All Bethesda cares about is cash grab content. They don't give a rat's tit about fixing the real annoying stuff. Gonna cancel my 1st subscription. It just ain't worth it to me anymore.

This post is from a long time ago, but a necromancer came before me so I'll just add that I haven't had my game crash during any event at any point, I did get a bug where it told me I got ''removed'' from my team during an expedition however, but the TL actually didn't remove me as I was able to confirm when I rejoined the team.

Every game in existence has a website. Almost every game in existence has a report or submit support ticket part of that website. Always start there.

Also saying you can run x game but not this one is meaningless information. Stating your CPU, amount of RAM, and GPU will actually be helpful. Learn these things and you'll receive better support.

Same here, game is almost entirely broken after that update
