cash it in for caps if you think it isn't worth keeping I imagine if it is like that dog food generator or pepper shaker plan from meat week you can easily get a nice bit for it especially while there are probably not many in circulation just due to the lack of parade events that have happened so far.

My experience with Pepper Shaker and Weenie Wagon plans was different than that.

When the event was new, and there was a lot of time left, people assumed they’d get one eventually. The prices seemed to ratchet up as the event wound down, and seemed to top out the day after.

I already have the the cap limit. I put stuff up for cheap for new players or drop them in donation boxes.

There is also an oil generator in the atom shop (500 atoms) ... so I guess not many will pay high ingame prices for the butter churn, cause the effect isn't unique anymore.

Bear in mind, the "oil generator" currently in the atom shop is bugged AF and can't even be built. Typical Bethesda.

It can it just shares the slot with the wood pile so you have to unbuild that first

You can buy Donkey in Atomic Shop now - produces oil and radioactive materials and will be available to all characters.

so you can place the atomic shop oil collector, you just need to remove the log collector

But it's not just oil, it is also plastic. It produces not basic oil but an item with oil and plastic as components. Which can be very handy. Got it from second event. Now i am questioning if it even worth to waste time on participating in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ event.

I play for fun. So best is to play only things ingame you have fun? So if Fasnacht is no fun to you, don't play it - and that despite the reward.
