How exactly does the Fermenter work?
So I'm trying to do the daily challenge where you need to drink a vintage alcoholic beverage and I crafted a Fermentable Bourbon but when I put it in the fermenter the yellow box became empty with a slash through it and it became just "bourbon". Does the box with a slash indicate it's completed fermenting? So far, the only thing I know that turns into vintage is Nukashine and Mire Magic Moonshine; is there a way to turn regular alcohol into vintage?

Only some things can ferment. All it does is halve the fermentation time from one hour to thirty minutes.

Only a few things can be vintage too. Yes, the slash condition box indicates it isn't a further fermentable alcohol.

I tried the same thing- first time seeing that challenge- and got the same result.

I also ran to the cabin where they hold Moonshine Jamboree and picked up a couple bottles of Mire Moonshine (I think that was the name), and threw it in the fermenter at the same time. That eventually became Vintage.

It’s a weird system.
But now I know to keep a bottle of that crap in my fermenter from now on.
