Quest marks the spots on map where you can find the right kind of insects. If you can't fast travel between the spots use Good with Salt perk to make insect parts last longer before they spoil.
EDIT. Besides stingwings all insects needed for the quest can usually be found from Dolly Sods too saving you time.

The quest design is retarded. RNG based loot, so you have to farm a spot in order for the right number to get rolled, so a corpse has those components, especially bloatfly and stingwing are annoying.
Why does someone create something like that?
If you have caps to spare, travel to all the destinations, kill stuff.
If you don't loot it, come back in a few minutes, when the camp respawned.

This is so primitive.
And those exam questions and things to do are also so stupid, all for a backpack that gets unequipped when in PA.

I started and finished the Brotherhood of Steel quest line for the 3rd time (I have 3 other characters not including my main) in 4 hours yesterday, with no problems. Lucky me

I have big pockets in my cheeks and so sometimes I hide my Quest Items in there. But now and then a big Super Mutant Slob will Wack me in the back with a Super Sledge and I swallow them. Gotta just do them over again.

yeah the game is terrible and runs like a cold turd. Why they havent fixed any of these issues is beyond me maybe they are too dumb or lazy now after all the money they got. Maybe they should put down the shovel and stop eating and pick up a brain so they can fix some of this. I would hate to be the person to try and defend this game lol. its awesome so im not saying otherwise but damm do anything for once.

Play the events "Campfire Tales" and "Tea Time" and you will be swimming in the non-spoiling insect parts.

As for radroach meat, there is always one spawning behind the locked door at Dolly Sods, and 4 inside the Abandoned Bunker, the latter being a separate instance, so no other player can snatch them first.
