Gold Bullion?

Where can I use all the gold bullion I have? I got over 3K of it and a ton of treasury notes to convert into more the only issue with the notes is I can only exchange 40 at a time for 400 as that's all the vending machine can ever handle. I know that gold is used to buy plans an good stuff I just cant ever find where to spend it I kinda googled it I know there is a traveling vendor in 3 different locations but is it only up at certain times? I tried to circle the 3 spots an could never find it....

There are 4 gold bullion merchants where you can exchange your bullion.
Mortimer the robot in Crater core.
Samuel who hangs out at Foundation near the bullion exchange machine.
Regs in Vault 79.
(Access to some things dependent on reputation and having completed quests.)
Minerva the travelling merchant who disappears periodically as she changes locations but sells at a discount.

Be aware that there is a cap on how much gold you van have. IIRC it's 6000 so you have to spend gold bullion at some stage to trade in notes.
edit: stand corrected it's a 10,000 gold cap
