What would a vox syringer do to Earle?

Hopped into a Earle party last night. Last event of the night for me, was already a half hour past my bed time but why not I guess.

Get there and it's a party of 4 total,me included. I'm 141 and one other was.... I think 160 maybe..... or maybe not quite but anyway, the others were all under 100. No problem, been there before, not my first party.

Start in and it starts going as expected. I'm switching between cremator and my regular rifle going back and forth from Earle and Wendigos.

Well, at one point maybe a third of the way in, I switched too quick going back on Earle and popped him one with my Vox instead of my rifle. He turned purple which I don't remember if it's a normal thing or not but I switched to the correct weapon and carried on not thinking too much on it.

My wonder tho, I know he's a tough one in general. but man his health bar was just not going down hardly at all. I ended up dying at just over two minutes left on the clock with his health still about three quarters left. When I spawned back in I had 8 shots left on cremator and 100 rounds on my rifle.

I didn't even bother dropping back down at that point as I knew there was nothing I could do but be in the way. I just sat watching the clock tick down and "event failed" pop up and contemplating if my fubar with the Vox could have potentially played a part in the failure, maybe making him "harder" than normal?

I just jumped back to camp and closed out for the night and kinda felt pretty bad about it but not knowing what if anything the Vox does outside of the related quest, I don't really know what to think.

Yup that I know. I didn't have one of those unfortunately. I had the Vox on me for the quest line and didn't realize I equipped it until it was too late. I'm wondering if it could have made things possibly harder than normal?

Vox shouldn't do anything to him so no worries about that. Earle has extremely high damage resistance, I want to say like 70%? Regardless, he's the tankiest boss in the game. He's also famous for getting stuck in walls, ceilings, etc and this is an online bethesda game so he could've also just become unkillable for any number of reasons. Don't sweat it.

My fastest Solo Earle kill is just under 20seconds.

Ive not heard of doing this. Thank you. You've set me on a new path. ? tho, is there way to do this for energy? (I use Gattling plasma & caster)

Cool thanks. I know he's a tough one but that was actually the first one I've seen fail which is what had me wondering.

The last one I was in with 5 people we did get him down, but it did take pretty much the entire clock.

Pretty sure the Vox Syringer only works on Animals, atleast that is what i remember from reading the termial/holos years ago, and Earle is not an Animal.

Just cause I locked ya up in it doesn't make it an insane asylum. You can fast travel out, anyway.
