if an armor piece is broken it provides no stats.

this would have been nice to know a long-ass time ago.

i'm level 377 now with about 750 hours in. it only occurred to me because i repaired 3 pieces of broken armor and my defense went way up.

it would be helpful to add more tips (in the loading screen) in a future update with information on things like this. i still learn new things about this game all the time.

I'm curious what you thought would happen when an amour piece broke. If armour still provided protection while broken, there wouldn't be any reason for it to have durability at all, right?

yeah you've got a point. it just took me a long time to see that there is not benefit at all.

Armor when broke just won't work, that would be obvious and a given.

i dont know current situation. but back then people who plays berserker intentionally broke the armor and continue to wear it. it doesnt cancel berserker effect, but keep all legendary mode effects like unyielding. and probably modes. (like dense, butressed, etc)

Nobody tell them that broken weapons can’t be wielded and used. :D

Repair kits and advanced repair kits are handy for fast fixes.

Also, a good thing to do, is to check the amount of materials required for the reparation.

If you have the resources, then no problem, equip perk cards to diminish the amount of resources needed and the other to increase the durability bar to 200%.

Save your repair kits for those who need rarer materials ... .

I have the same problem with my EV, every time I run the batteries all the way down have to get out and walk. You are not gonna push that heavy as ss truck anywhere.

To be fair the game displays an obvious red icon when a weapon or armour breaks. It is not there because nothing has happened. It is there to tell you something is wrong or broken and needs player attention to fix.
