Perforating vs Stinging Magazine?

Which do you guys like better? (Don't mind the stats too much, I got a crafting build on.)

I prefer perforating.

Perforating all the way. Those 5 extra rounds is too miniscule of a bonus. If it were 10? Maybe? 15 extra rounds? For sure. But 5... Meh.

If I remember right I think there is a cap on armor penetration....

Meaning if you already had X amount form perks cards then having it on a weapon was nearly pointless.

You may want to look into that.

5 more rounds from 20 to 25 is huge its actually 20% more :)
As another user wrote, you are close to the cap armor pen when you use the stinging and the tank killer perk card.

I do also use tank killer and constantly use VATS sooo I'm leaning towards Stinging.

Reload magazine

Historically the armour reduction magazines didn't actually work

I never bothered to see if they fixed it

I have found with Circuit Breaker the innate armor pen is not effected by any other armor pens such as tank killer when I do daily ops and stuff. It's the same damage on mobs (86 white damage) with the tank killer and CB and without.
