Gatling gun firing like minigun

Earlier today, i was killed by someone with an explosive gatling gun while defending my power plant workshop (farming fusion cores) from the npc mobs. When i was suddenly killed in 1 hit while in power armor(ultracite). That's not the issue(i didn't have any junk on me and accidents happen) what i noticed is the firerate was similar to the tri barel minigun... this isn't normal is it? I read there used to be a glitch, but it was *patched* is it back? Was it never fully patched to begin with? I did see them again in an event and they were still firing as fast as when they killed me... was it the glitch/exploit or hack???

Yeah, the fire rate glitch is still around. People probably using macros (you'll see them constantly firing even after battle).

It's so ingrown in the Creation Engine it'll never be gone.

Is that why the audio bugs out right after? It starts with the constant firing (sound) after events and then the audio muffles for movement and reloading

if you tap fire just right it will rapid fire, they probably can't fix it or don't really care. I'm sure you could make a macro to do it for you perfectly, though it is possible to do it manually.

They probably tried to fix it since they "patched" it twice, but just did a half as s job. I'll see if i can get the firerate down because i suck at setting up macros haha

No haha, it's what i'm using on mine, this thing was literally firing as fast as a mini gun haha and since explosive uses up the second legendary effect instead of the rapid it couldn't be both the trigger and the effect(looked up the effects on nukesdragons just to make sure)

yes, if you're aware of it and you get PvPed the correct thing to do is report the player and probably hop servers.

You can also pull out an Assasins or Anti Armor black powder and do it back; I do not encourage this but it is as available to you as it to them. Recording the entire thing especially their being the aggressor is a must; If I see two people blasting each other with exploits on a public server I'l probably report both.

I didn't think to report them as i was just shocked how fast i died with full PA. I thought the generator blew up or something since i was defending it. Then when an event happened the one with the sheepsquatch imposter, I noticed them firing at me and everyone(probably seeing who had pacifist off, even stood on my character and tried to kill me again). That's when i saw just how fast the gatling was firing and when i looked it up on nukesdragons to see if the effect combo was possible. It wasn't... next time i will report them though, if it happens again. I heard of this exploit/ glitch, but thought it was patched since i never saw it. Until yesterday.

AFAIK, that hasn't worked for over a year now.

I did try to replicate it, but with no luck, since the timing on the trigger does have a little delay between shots. It's either they found a way around it or macro to beat the timing delay. Glad to know from all of your guys info that it wasn't a hacker at least, but them trying to pvp while exploiting is a bit sad Haha

Don't worry potato i tried to replicate it by clicking as fast as i could. It's why I mentioned the delay between shots. I don't even know how to setup a macro, they've just never worked when i tried to set them up. Just to clarify i wasn't trying to use it for firerate or an exploit. It was when my RMB broke on my old mouse.
