I’m sure everything on there is at least liked by someone, but I can’t imagine anyone actually using ALL of it.
Rip Daring outfit?
Pith Helmet?
Beuller?
….Beuller?
Same here just bought the stupid trampoline to get ridd of my last few tickets
Yeah. I built it, jumped on it… and then scrapped it.
I don’t know, maybe there will be enough craftable camp items at some point that fit that concept, and you can put a play area in your barn or something.
Maybe that’s why some people are getting so butthurt about not getting EVEYRTHING, maybe they think they might use it some day.
But… like… the Peepers weapon paint? Is someone actually going to use that?
Most people I see complaining are salty that it goes past 100 or that theres an option to buy levels. Both seem like really insignificant things to be mad about to me. The only thing that changes when you hit 100 id you cant farm exp for levels anymore. Most the people complaining arent even farming exp for levels anyway so it makes zero difference other than upsetting people for some weird reason.
"But… like… the Peepers weapon paint? Is someone actually going to use that?"
Those capsules paintings are just ugly...
The only thing long term are the level 150 repeat rewards.
But getting there is a ♥♥♥♥♥ and a half, and THEN on top of that they force you to grab what was it, 95 items from the pages before.
No matter what.
Garbage you don't want, many of the trash and filler items you HAVE to take to graciously allow you the repeat rewards, which are kinda worth it but only just so.
So I just stopped at 100 (119 now for not trying) because I got the parts that moderately interested me and ♥♥♥♥ the rest, sincerely, in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ear.
Already set my mind to not even bother with next season as I'm not even interested in the themes and very, very few of the items. Might get them if not too far on the last pages.
They turned off a lot of people with that change no one asked for but made the board more grindy, less interesting, more obnoxious to use (flicking through the pages every time I need to look at the later pages), bonkers gaps in not getting anything.
Battle pass is always iffy, it was moderately ok before, now it's just WTF levels of trash.
Personal opinion, but there it is.
Actually, reflecting on my recent posts, I might be on my way to finally drop this, this new season BS might just be the tipping point.
The only items that were actually interesting to me were the cabin pieces and the especially the stairs. If I’m going to build a home in Appalachia, it’s going to have a cabin look.
Once I realized how Score worked, and realized I wanted those bits, I decided that I would try to get to 100 and, if I was out of time, but near enough that I could buy levels for less than the 1500a of a building kit, I’d buy the levels to get it and call it a win. If not, I’d go ahead and buy the log cabin kit for 1500a.
I ended up not needing to buy levels, but I had a sorted-out decision that made sense to me and didn’t risk regret.
I think FOMO bites some people really, really hard.
Buying a pile of modules would have been nice, but I can get 20-30 of those for playing a couple hours in a day, so not a huge loss to me.
I saw the repeatable stuff as just fodder. You can get all of that in time, so I guess I don’t get what you mean by “long-term”.
Either way, I like some of the new season stuff, but it’s about like this season; I see a few things I really like, and the rest is just ‘meh’. I kinda like the scouting theme, and the s’more stuff, while definitely NOT “Fall-Out” to me, is kinda cool.
The layout of the ticket store is all I’ve ever known, so I can’t say one way or the other.
What has me ‘worried’, if that’s the right term, is that this is the first proper season I’m going to play. My character is really good, my equipment is at least pretty good, and I know how FO76 works now. I’m ready to get the most out of this season.
…but it’s also coming with a map extension and a bunch of totally new content. I’m REALLY excited for this season, but acknowledge that I might get through it, look at Season 18, and go “Yeah, I’m good. Peace out.”
I buildt an arcade, so i placed it there, but yeah, its one of the most worthless items on the list
And has anything on there ever been useful to me? Well, no, not really. I've unlocked a few weapons there that I never used or used at least once or twice. I run a stealth build and a power armor build. When I am in power armor, I use nothing besides the gatling laser because my fusion cores are infinite. And I use only The Fixer with .45 ammo because it seems one of the easiest ammo types to find out there, even without perks. So yeah, I don't see a point in choosing anything else and I can make lots of caps by selling all of the other ammo types.
There are some decorative items that I could use, but the previous ones were, to put it mildly, uninspiring.
Your feelings are not wrong about the number of rewards comparing the old way to the new way.
Taking FO1st items out of the equation it goes like this.
Old method had 100 items on the board with rank 100 having anywhere from 3 to 5 items. Then once you got past rank 100 you got something for every rank.
Last season had 95 items on the board that opened up at rank 100. It also took to rank 121 to hav3 the tickets to claim everything. There was then nothing to collect until you got to rank 150. You then had 29 ranks of tickets to spend and it took 75 tickets per item. So…one item for every three ranks.
This season they got even trickier. There are 83 items that can be selected once you reach rank 100. But it takes rank 120 to collect everything. And then you have to hit rank 150 once again to get the repeatable items. One for every three ranks.
Last season had 14 pages (counting the bonus page 1). This season has 15 pages, makes you think “more stuff”. Except there are pages with only 5 items, or 8 items.
So marketing magic to make you think you got more. When you actually get less. Way less.
More work, fewer rewards for last season.
Same work as last season, even fewer rewards this season.
It used to be every rank was a reward, whether it be good or bad; it was instant.
Now its every page, so each rank up does not matter, even though you may get tickets, you cant use them immediately.
Now, to combat this, they could do three things.
- Go back
the most favorable to the community, they hate this style and for good reason.
- A ticket sink
Now, there is one but its locked to rank 150, this is disgusting; now if they were to remove the restrictions and allow you to spend your tickets from the start people would be hooked in an instant, aka instant gratification per rank as they can waste their tickets in the store leaving them with no tickets for the actual board. leading them to play even more, the way I see it, its the actual real life Scrip that was used in the past with the coal mines.
- every item is able to be purchased whenever
Now hold on, let me cook. Every item can be purchased at anytime, BUT the catch is that it cost two times more, so your patience is rewarded, but to those who wish for only certain rewards. They have all the freedom in the world to do so.
Personally, I think this style of scoreboards CAN be future proof, but it needs changes immediately
