No, I really don't.
Yes you really do. I'll let the mathematicians who will inevitably show up tell you how wrong you are as well as how hardy a properly built Bloodied build actually is. I just got off of work and am far too lazy to get into numbers over something that is most likely you just trolling.
Bloodied gets
Unyielding = +15 SPeCIAL so 75 carry weight, melee damage, vats accuracy, enemy detection on compass, max buy/sell, +45% quest exp, +45% kill exp, max scrapping, 75 action points, increased AP regen, max stealth, 1-2 shot vats crit refill, better condition on dropped stuff
Bloodied + Adrenal = 145% bonus damage (Additive)
Serendipity & Nerd Rage... couple with blocker, fireproof, dodgy, and richochet and you are functionally invulnerable
So the best non bloodied damage buff is 50%
so a bloodied using a 200 damage weapon would be hitting for 490 base damage
a non bloodied using a 200 damage weapon would be hitting for 300 base damage
190 gap
Other minor additives exist but the gap is generally pretty wide
now you throw on the damage multipliers where the train really begins to leave the station (think one punch man Saitama vs Garou - Its Exponential growth vs Linear growth)
Taking one for the team 490 x 1.5 = 735
Taking one for the team 300 x 1.5 = 450
285 gap
Now you throw on critical damage, endangerol, etc and you are doing some pretty absurd values
Personally, i think Unyielding set is broken AF. This ♥♥♥♥ needs a severe nerf. And by severe i mean from +3 per armor piece all the way down to +1. So +5 SPECIAL in total instead of +15. That's the only way to make it balanced in comparison to all other builds.
Yeah, really, you do. I don't play bloodied, but there is considerably more advantage to it than just a little DR.
Clearly, you do.
As others pointed out, it’s A LOT more than just the DR.
It’s really about the equipment. I didn’t think I wanted to do bloodied until I discovered the Intelligence and Luck I could get with Unyielding armor.
Without additional buffs, I’m at like 34 or 36 Intelligence and high enough Luck that every other or every third shot in VATS is a critical.
I can mow through most mobs with just 1-3 shots each, and get almost double the XP for each one.
You seriously do. Dont get me wrong, bloodied is broken in a not a good way and when you get unlucky you drop like a paper cup which is very annoying.
But until that happens you get like 30% more xp, a few hundred extra carry weight, increased vats accuracy, more action points, faster crit recharge and thats just out of the box. Then you can slap on Barbarian and Evasion and you can get 85 DR/ER, 20 reduced damage from nerd rage (along with more damage and ap regent), Serendipity lets you just straight up avoid damage 45% of the time, and if you arent terribly attached to your AP you can toss in Dodgey to avoid damage completely at the cost of AP per attack.
Low hp builds with Unyielding armor and certain perk cards, as well as weapon rolls make these players (who know what they are doing) the most damage-dealing, most survivable/unkillable, most weight-carrying, as well as most fast-levelling wastelanders out there. Among a few other, less-important benefits.
Is it broken? Kinda. But it's a PvE game, so who cares.
Is it OP compared to everything else? Yeah, for sure. But it's a PvE game, so who cares.
Should be re-balanced somehow differently, in order to break the "meta" of low-hp builds? Possibly, maybe. Even though there will be an uproar against it, if Bethesda dares to touch balance of Unyiedling armor and other aspects of the low-hp builds...
But are they "useless" as you claim, OP? Most definitely not. You're very wrong and don't know what you're talking about.
