How do people make toy and teddy bear displays?
I have seen peoples camps with robot figures on display, teddy bears on shelves, random cool junk items used as display.

How is this done? I had though to drop an item and hope it gets placed like a furniture item, but you just get the standard bag.

I googled it and saw something about a "thanksgiving display" shelf that can hold 6 junk items, but that's not what i have seen in peoples bases, i saw the robot figures on a wall shelf and teddybears on top of a cabinet.

What trick are people using to display junk freely? they aren't items i can pick up either i get no highlight telling me what the item is called, so it's locked to a blueprint somehow.

They are using the chessboard display rack to display a single item, then merge the chessboard down into the furniture using the pressure plate glitch.
They can even merge multiple of these chessboards, so items appear really close together.

Thanks for the info though, i'll keep that glitch in mind and hope another single junk display rack appears in the future.

There are buildable robot figures you can unlock as part of this season, so the ones you saw could be those.

Ah yes, Fallout camp building sorcery.
Where you have to use actual bugs and exploits and glitches and dark magic to be able to use very basic functions that should just be possible in the actual game without endless fiddling to combat and offset the stupid.
