true i didnt even think about the fact that some things i cannot beat alone.

thank you both
Public, for sure!

Additionally, the loading splash page when you join events from the map (and fast travel to them) has the event specific goals bulleted, which I didn't pick up on right away. There are also some good youtube tutorials available that can help you get oriented with each event, if you want to see a visual explanation- that was helpful for me.

Just make sure you don´t start instantly when joining. If there is some higher levels already there and they didn´t start, there is a reason for that. (Mostly that you need a certain amount of players to beat it)

Just noting that here because we had quite some events failing when the TV show was released because new players joined an event and instantly started. Like the wild west one. It is doable with 2 people, but only if both know what they are doing and it´s no fun to stress like that.

 I try and respect some basic rules of etiquette at events, after beeing a filthy noob (mea culpa! we all gotta learn!) : the above (which comes down to : wait until the timer is down to 30 or so seconds before activating,) don't hog kills, leave some for the melee players, don't spam-loot, check whether a point of interaction needs looking after (it can be a switch, a machine that needs fixing, a circuit breaker that needs activating, etc...) and, at Mothman, let the critters COME TO YOU.

Ha-ha-ha!

An event with different types of activities, when done with cooperative peeps, is a thing of beauty! My faves include Mr Billingsly and, especially, "One Violent Night." When we all work interdependently it's, as we say, magic!

This is what im talking about when i say the game has zero info on events. Does this info exist in the game when starting an event? No i didnt think so. Event etiquette is also not covered in the description either. Who knew that the game has hidden rules. Maybe thats why i dont get leggies because idont know what im doing because the game doesnt say ♥♥♥♥ and everyone is making there own rules that dont even exist under game info. its good to know this is why i have a lot of issues with the game. Glad to know its not me.

people making there own rules and doing things that is really cheesing the game for profit lol. This is why some have issues. HEY DEVS GIVE BETTER INFO LIKE THE PEOPLE ABOVE HAVE. The people above actually had real info unlike the info giving for events. You guys here in the discussion should get paid instead of them.

It is fallout, its a world without guidance.
Most events 99% tell you what to do.
If you need help add me.

Make sure you do your Daily Reputation Missions from Crater and Foundation.
Just join the event you like and see / watch what people do, it is no dungeon / raid like in WoW that you have to learn the tactics first.

No 1 cares what you do in an event (NOT ment as rude or like that then just literally like i said it).

The more you do the events? The more you will learn. Just go for it my friend and one day you become a person who can do events with your eyes closed ;) You get my point :D

VERY few are goign to say anything negative about you not knowing what to do. If I don't know, I just sit back on an objective and guard it, which typically gets me a thumbs up from a higher level player. They seem to respect it more than berate you for it. I really wouldn't be too concerned. Game isn't like it used to be.

I don't think you understand the situation currently with events which is all good.
The current situation is there's a LOT of op people out there now so your going to have very little negative impact by joining events.
Things die so quick with massive amounts of firepower and blast radius it's almost considered polite to sit back and do nothing, everybody is simply trying to get a tag on enemy for xp before they get obliterated.
So just turn up get your free stuff, maybe get some kills and everyone can have some fun.

I think of it as common human behaviour. People get together and something that was not planned, or anticipated emerges as a result of wiggle room in the rules - or, in this case, the game code.

This is, in fact, one of the transitional phases that children go through on their way to adulthood. I would expound on this but you seem kinda salty about . . . something?

Anyway : I did four more event today, with peeps ranging from level 43 to 1600+ (!) and the "vibes" ranged from cool efficiency to full-on "brothers in arms unite!"

I f**cking love this game AND its community.

It may, perhaps, also be that I'm from Canada and playing on Canadian severs? I really don't know how all that stuff works ; I'm old enough to remember when a "multiplayer" game was NEVERWINTER NIGHTS. The first one. Shipped in an SSI classic gold box. In 1991.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'm old . . .
