Is there a way to lock in any mutations?
Some seem like they are clearly for making builds around, others have pros and con passives.

But none of them really matter because you will always need radaway eventually so all mutations reverse eventually.

I got some minor mutation that doubles the effectiveness of meat and removes disease chance, obviously wouldn't mind keeping it if possible

There is a Luck perk called Starched Genes. Level 30 or 31 I think. If you have that at rank 2, you can no longer randomly get mutations but you also can't lose them.

You also don't need to take RadAway. Drinking brahmin milk will reduce your rads and has no chance of removing a mutation. If hginh up to a brahmin doesn't give the option to milk it, someone beat you to it. Nuka-Grape also reduces rads without removing mutations.

Getting a mutation that way is random. If you want a specific mutation, you can go around to other players camps. Some players sell serums that give you specific mutations. But yes, you can do it randomly like that as well. Just note that once you get a mutation from radiation, you have to leave the server and rejoin in order to get another one.

is it possible to get more than 1 mutation at a time?

i have only ever had single ones that come and go, can you take more than 1 serum to get multiple?

Yes. You can have 18 of the 19 possible mutations active on you at once. You can't have them all, as Carnivore and Herbivore are exclusive and you can not have both at the same time.

Yes. You can technically have all the mutations, except carnivore / herbivore as they cancel each other out.

However, if you have serums and already are one of them, you can take the serum of the other to temporarily get both effects due to the serum suppression of side effects?
Or something, not clear on that as I'm not chugging serums all the time for temp effects and the explanation seemed glitchy and exploit-y to me.

Maybe I missed mention of it, but you can used Starched Genes to lock in mutations so you don't gain or lose what you have, but if you get a serum you want to add just remove Starched Genes, take the serum to gain the mutation, and then equip it again. I know Srarched Genes was mentioned to lock your mutations, but I don't know if it was suggested to temporarily remove it to deliberately gain another later, then equip it again.

If you have the Starched Genes card active, can you take a serum to gain a mutation or do you need to equip the card before drinking it?
