Looking for the 12 Monkeys
Yes, i really need their help to get me the virus to get Swamp Itch and The Whoopsies.

I'm supposed to get the first one while sleeping on a bag on the floor.
Oh jeez, i never sleep in the game, i have no care about the 5% XP bonus.
I never slept so many times than today, but still can't get diseased.

In the meanwhile, i checked i had no perk that lowers the chance to get infected, was OK, and stopped drinking Tea.

Then, i tried to get the second one, supposed to be transmitted via Mirelurks Spawns.
So i got naked to have better chances to get the Whoopies, i was so eager to discover the leaking (w)hole experience. But could'n.

Then i checked and discovered that i needed to be bitten by infected Spawn.

Well, i went back 2 times to the Wendigo Cave, found a lot of beasts there, but not an inch of a Mirelurk Spawn.

So, if any of the 12 Monkeys are still around, maybe i can get some clues.

That is the one disease i have never been able to get as well. Just cannot seem to find the infected mirelurk spawn without someone else killing them outright or something else getting in the way.

I tried for a long time and gave up. :steamsad:

It's infamously difficult, the last of the diseases I got. I probably spent more time getting it than the others combined. In the north east of the map is the Highland Marsh which might be a good place to try; use vats to kill off the larger mobs then sit and heal until you get it (let the little guys eat your skin for a bit). If that's a bust try other locations with the same method.

Swamp itch is super easy to get, unfortunately...

But, do they spawn infected, or must have they been in a nuked area (that would be rare inside a cave) ?

I don't remember anything about them being in a nuked area.
*Here's this, though, for your enjoyment

Thanks, i will try there. Is Highland Marsh the place with the Mirelurk Queen ?
I've often killed her, but never been infected by the Spawns, same in other places.

But...i hunt her with my Excav Armor and Vampiric Chainsaw. No idea if i can survive a fight in Secret Service Armor.
