Am I the only one to absolutely hate voice chat?

I hate voice chat. I hate discord. I hate the sound of my voice (I sound like a goon/neanderthal).
I hate that other people hear my voice.

Microphones absolutely ruined the multiplayer experience for me.

I hate when no one uses the MIC lol Its one of the reason to play multiplayer games . You get the chance to meet new people from around the world ,Some even become good friends But then again there's always that one little fooker that makes you want to bash your computer lol

Yes I get it but people keep harassing me to turn on voice chat...whether in WoW, Deep Rock Galactic...etc

Its pretty much a requirement now if you want to be in a raiding guild.

I dont mind mics but I hate that there is no alternative (legally) as often I CANT use my mic because my wife is sleeping or my house is a circus and totally unsuitable to be broadcast to unsuspecting ears of other people.

I enjoy working with other players but I feel like real-life voice breaks the immersion, it breaks the fantasy. What kind of female night-elf druid sounds like a 300lbs doorman?

then just be a mute and dont play with people who force mics, simple.

I just absolutely love it when someone leaves mic open and plays blaring music non stop... or the guy who u can hear breathing directly into the microphone, as if it's inside his mouth... or the one with the constant clicking and weird wet squishing noise non stop. Voice chat is amazing. :P

Yeah no, fk voice chats. If you can't type it, i don't wanna hear it (which ironically you can't do in fo76 without mods at least)

This. Coordinating things via text is highly inefficient. It's also somewhat entitled thinking to allow yourself the luxury of feeling 'annoyed' by people in a multiplayer game wanting to be able to talk to each other when you have been provided with a very simple fix that will eliminate the possibility of ever hearing another person's voice. I feel like this is a discussion that would more suit a discord chat full of your friends, rather than a forum for discussing a specific game.

You hate voice chat. Sorry to hear that, but I fail to see how it's at all relevant to the rest of the people who play this game.

As already stated, you have the option of turning it off entirely in this game. Use it and move on with your life. I won't be nice about it: No one cares that you hate it except you.
