Cant enter Hellcat power armor

I accidentally scrapped my main Power Armor due to a bug. Dugged into my stash for spare Hellcat armor I've been working on and tried to wear it but it wont let me enter. I thought it might just be the batteries so I tried to put Fusion cores but wont accept it either.

Is this some kind of bug or something I'm doing wrong? tried to log in-and-out but didn't work

Edit: scratch that.. I cant enter ANY power armor for some reason.. tried another spare like the excavator wont let me. tried some frankenstein (different parts) power armor, had same result

Did you scrap all of your main PA, or just the frame?

Try taking all of your fusion cores. Putting them in a world container.

Take them back out, and then put one in your PA and see if that does it.

The bug was that I didn't see the frame while I was scrapping. I'm quite sure that I would notice if I scrapped the chassis as I named it in all caps. I only noticed my main power armor was gone when I got short glimpse of the rare helmet you get from raider/crater questline before scrapping it by accident. Got so frustrated and scripped the rest of the scattered parts.

Glad the fusion core trick worked.

When you are wearing your PA, you don’t see the frame, just the pieces so it can be easy to scrap them if they aren’t painted or renamed.
