How to unlock mods for minigun?

I have 3 out of 5 rn, i scraped around 20 weapons - still no results

Do eviction notice and collect them all. Then scrap them. It is very RNG, also none of them are particularly useful mods.

I need triple gunbarrel, i just got explosive + 95% damage when on low health

The buff is only a few percent damage. The standard gatling will do more damage and still have full range. Do eviction notice for ammo. Or loot the lead from charlston fire station and make your own.

Triple barrel is great, less fire rate but it's accurate enough to headshot at decent range so better dps that way, other barrels just spray. Unless you run shredder then go accelerated but that noise ;(

Just be aware that tri barrel mod adds a ton of weight. If you do not have the 90% RW effect on the gun or weapon weight reduction from armour or perks it can weigh like 40+ lbs depending on other mods.

My bloodied tri barrel is 41.4 lbs without any weight reduction mods. With standard barrel and same mods it is only 24.3 lbs.

Most mods in-game are learned from scrapping but not all, when you are in the crafting menu or modifications use the open that shows hidden and refresh, it will then show grayed-out mods (Unlearned with a highlight if it is learned from scrap or store).
