There have been several times that I immediately left such a base using fast travel because normal movement was no longer possible.
Which brings us to another point that is becoming more and more prevalent.
If I have to wander around for what feels like half an hour before I finally find the vending machine, then that's not funny either.
The vending machine should be placed exposed and easily accessible. Because I'm about as interested in your "wealth" as if a yellow bicycle falls over on Red Square. ;)
GSync is the Nvidia branded propriety version it is also called Free Sync (AMD open source version) on other monitors but does the same thing. Not sure of what your monitor is but it might support Free Sync as most gaming monitors of the last 3 or so years should. You can enable it in your GPU software if it does.
You can also turn on VSync to fast in NVCP if you have a Nvidia GPU. For me though turning it back to on made my FPS go super low again even after turning it off in the ini. You might have more luck. It should help with the screen tearing as that is not very fun to have to put up with. You could even just try to run a 60 FPS cap as that might reduce the screen tearing in game. 60 is much more pleasant then 40 FPS at least.
Beth games are known to be super choppy with framerate, they're one of the few devs out there who are massive noobs in regards to optimization, should i remind you all they forgot to enable Compiler Optimizations in Skyrim? one modder had to make a SKSE plugin that boosted performance from 40-60%. Then Beth had to come along and release an update with the compilers enabled like two weeks after the modder did it. Same with Fallout New Vegas, a modder not long ago released another mod which enabled the compiler optimizations... like geesh. And i am suspicious that Oblivion and Fallout3 also came out without any compiler optimizations.
Even worse, Beth are one of the very few AAA devs out there that can make 45 FPS feel like 10 FPS. The worst i seen FO76 in my system is drop to like 44 or 47 and it feels very choddy. like a slide show.
Now listen carefully. Ironically enough while playing yesterday for like 4 hours straight, the game audio suddenly got bugged since i could not hear any music or effects, it was weird but i could still hear NPC talk, just no music, no footsteps or or sound Effects. The weird thing is that noticed that the game feel INCREDIBLY smooth... like no BS, the game become insanely smooth, like if it was running at over 120 FPS at any given poin.
Then i quit the game and restarted FO76 just to get the music and sounds effects back, but then again after like 20 minutes of roaming near "White Powder Winter Sports" the game audio got bugged again, and immediately the game became super responsive and smooth. Even going after the "Scorched Earth" Event and dudes launching mini nukes at the queen the game still feel VERY smooth. I kinda want it to happen, i'll take bugged for insane gameplay smoothness. So there must be something really wrong with the engine audio handling, and i am suspicious that the game audio is at fault for the very choddy performance.
This. Especially the max frames setting after disabling vsync. The engine is old and cranky.
I have deleted all fallout76 files from document and reinstall the game again.
It seems to work! My game is back for some reason.
Both of these things are ones i recommend to try. Fullscreen has ran better for me on every PC i have ever played the game on. Not only more consistent FPS, but it can also eliminate stutters too for some.
Deleting those two ini files in the Fallout76 folder in documents can fix graphics problems as the game will create new ones with default settings. If you start getting odd FPS or just odd things with graphics compared to what you used to, just delete those and see how you go. No need to reinstall either unless you had to.
