Mixing SS and Brotherhood Recon Armor
Is it possible to wear pieces of Secret Service Armor and Brotherhood Recon Armor at the same time?

I already have the SS Chest Piece with Jet Pack, but I also have the plans for the Brotherhood Recon Deep-Pocketed Limbs.

It's a cost issue for me. Rather than grind away to purchase SS R/L leg armor plans and then grind away to purchase the deep-pocketed plans for SS, I'm thinking that I should just grind away to purchase plans for Brotherhood Recon legs since I already have the plans for the deep-pocketed mods.

Sure, why not.

Only downside would be your builds including legendary "Full Outfit" cards since you need a, well, full outfit for those to be active.

Edit: Funky Duds / Sizzling Style are the ones I'm talking about, but I never used them myself so idk how important they might be to you.

Sirius is right. The only reason to not mix and match is due to specific items or perks that might give a full set bonus. We all wear mis-matched items as we level up until we can get the right full set.

Thank you To those who replied. I figured there are limited reasons for keeping consistent armor pieces, but what I didn't know is if the armor pieces can be mixed just like all other armors. Good to know. Thanks.

The BoS Recon set is free, sorta. It comes from Operation rewards. Minerva sells them as well though.

It can takes months to get the plans from the DO though.

Yep, I think I got majority of them that way then ended up buying the arms from Minerva.

Figured it was worth mentioning because the drop rate for them is so sucky the OP may not even be aware they can be gained that way :steammocking:

The only downside to this is set armors (Bonuses that require the full set), and some legendary perk cards require all of the same set to work.

SS and Brotherhood in the same sentence almost seem made for each other until you realize it's the other SS. :ComedyClub:
