Agree. Faster fire is best for an auto gun. If using regular ammo you can use tweaked auto receiver for +50% extra crit damage anyway. Plus food buffs for even more crit damage. Faster fire rate means you have more base DPS plus you get crits more often. Win win.
-25% AP cost is also a poor effect compared to faster reload. Less reload cost on a fixer, let alone in a bloodied build with so much more AP, is totally redundant. It is a crutch for a poor build. Faster reload is more time firing and less time reloading all the time.
Faster crit fill 3rd star is good if it allows you to cross the threshold to get a crit every 2nd shot. If not it is not worth having.
Did you put the Poker Paint on it?
Have a few god roll weapons (not for trade anyway) and they really rock ;)
https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197971348689/screenshot/2098171444804406329/ example of a god roll weapon.
* Aristocrats, Furious, Juggernaut's, Mutants, Instigating or Anti-Armor.
* +25% damage while aiming, 25% faster Fire rate
* 15% faster reload, 90% reduce weight, +1 to Agility, End, Str or Per
I know some players will say, that's a crap setup but end of the day im the one who needs to enjoy playing and VAT's doesn't do it for me.
3 effects and bethesda has no clue how critical strike functions in games watered down stats to say the least.
Same here. The Admiral's god roll I would scrap. I like anti-armor, faster fire rate and then something else on my Fixer. I guess god roll is in the eye of the beholder.
You guys really need to use Handmade, not Fixer.
+50% Critical Damage
-25% vats cost
So lets break it down
Bloodied is always good, the king of added damage (Typically)
+50% critical damage is the third place winner on this (thanks to blight soup adding a whooping 187.5% critical damage)
Vats cost reduction on a fixer (and frankly just about any weapon with VERY few exceptions) is a fools gold "gOd" roll and not very good... more so when combined with bloodied where you typically have unyielding and infinite ammo... but the fixer ap cost per shot can be dropped to next to nothing (~2ap) which means that the high pool of AP that build has will just never feel its use
What you want is
Prefix
#1 Bloodied
#2 Quad
#3 Anti Armour
Major
#1 Faster Fire (by a country mile) [just outperforms every other major effect on 99% of the weapons)
#2 Explosive (Tends to give a breakpoint to regular shots to turn one hit kills)
#2.5 Critical Damage (not quite a third place its still good, but its just drowned out by super effective food filling the same roll)
Minor
#1 Faster Reload - especially true on a gun with the ability to reach 0.17 second reload times
Everything else is a MINOR qol perk that doesn't really make the weapon any better
So your
B 50c 25v weapon is considered a good roll, but not quite a god roll
I use most rifles on my main character. I have 8 rifles equipped 3x fixers, 3x handmades, 1x lever rifle and 1x hunting rifle. And some in my slash for events I know will use certain mobs. But most of my rifles tend to have the 25% damage while aiming and faster reloads.
All my rifles are not the same build tho, one of them is 50% damage to robot. Others are furious and instigating, I just bought a Anti-armor handmade but I still need to upgrade it. One of my fixers is a aristocrats fixer running 50% damage, others are a mix.
I see. I think it will be a bit before the difference between Handmade and Fixer matters to you.
Yeah i did bro
I know it isnt the best fixer, but its still a good all rounder, i have no idea what builds are, just have some common knowledge on it and still learning, i came back to the game 5 weeks ago
