is blue alien power armor skin unlockable for anyone from daily ops?

so i just heard today from a friend that you can get the blue alien power armor skin as a potential reward from daily ops WITHOUT having to own the red skin from the atomic shop. i was under the assumption that the blue skin was only available as a possible reward if you owned the red one.

is this true? if so, if i would have known, i never would have spent atoms on the red skin, and just stuck with the blue one.

Atom shop items may require in game acquired base models. Like backpack skins etc.

In game items that can be learned don't require atom shop purchases first.

So yes, you can get the Alien PA skin. Just grind the DO enough times in a row and get Elder runs.

i already earned all the blue plans from DO, i just had no idea the blue set existed until after i already bought the red one. so i'm just disappointed that i spent atoms
