Seasons?

Because i am an idiot. Are seasons going to be something like a battle pass?

We don't know, but far as we know the seasons are a free addition to the game that offers skins, camp items, atom bundles, cap bundles and even gold bullion for progressing via the S.C.O.R.E. in thet season line up. I think they will make their money off the last bit of the grind (Like destiny did.) and offer the ability to up the rank by 1 for 1.50 or 150 atoms.

i like the idea of battle passes (like Paladins or Apex) where i earn stuff as i normally play, it's like a nice bonus to look forward too.

That's more or les what this new system is, but how it all is going to work is still a mystery. It is going to be explained more before update 20 goes live.

It is about earning stuff as you normally play. Each season is a 10 week event where you can earn stuff as you play. Its not a 'season pass' type thing where you have to pay to have access to it. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they added some sort of benefit to Fallout 1st subscribers.
