No keyboard/mouse control?
Why bring this out through Steam then? If you only want to support gamepads, stick to consoles.

if you have a game pad plugged in it takes over so if you have one in take it out if not then I don’t know why it is doing it

Um the game has full keyboard/Mouse controls. Exactly the same as Fallout 4.

I have no controller and have no need of one. Much better with K/M.

I wouldn't say exactly the same. They feel more dumbed down compared to FO4.

It's a real pissoff when games force the gamepad just because it is plugged in. Any way around this? I cannot access the back of my tower to unplug the controller.

Unplug it at the controller then.

Same thing happens with Skyrim and Fallout 4, and like the post above, just unplug it at the controller.

Under game settings you can disable the controller. The caveat being that you have to use the controller to disable it.

I've also heard of some people having the game think they have a controller when they don't. For anyone with that problem, they can open the Fallout76Prefs.ini file in Documents/my games/Fallout 76 and change

[General]
bGamepadEnable=1
to
[General]
bGamepadEnable=0

If it's not there, add it.

This worked. Much appreciated

If you don't want to unplug your controller:

Go to the main menu / Settings / Game / Controller OFF.

Similar to how it was in FO4.

if i remember in fallout 4 you can change that from the game settings ( in the game menu ) by turning off the controller setting

My Bro got the Same issue. But the problem comes with the start (after the Test Screen) so he can't use Mouse or Keyboard. We disabled the Gamepad at the config file but it will not work. Any ideas?
