Sub = you get access to your own private server, and a few other perks like increased stash limit and the use of a Tent in addition to your Camp (and you get 1200 monthly atoms to buy ingame cosmetics).
Most players don't have a subscription; I don't
Small correction, 1650 Atoms monthly, you also get some exclusive cosmetic items like the Ranger armor.
^^
Big correction, you dont get a increased stash limit, you get a box where you can store your scrap.
Everyone has a stash that holds 800 pounds of stuff. Whether it's junk, weapons, armor, aid.
With the subscription you get a Scrap Box that only holds junk materials for use in crafting and building that is unlimited in how much it can hold.
Everyone played without the box up until October of last year. Many people still play without the box.
However, lots of people have problems with hoarding everything due to it being possible in the previous games. You need to break this habit. As long as you take the time to learn what scrap items do what, and where to get them, you'll learn just how much is enough and you can be efficient at it without the subscription.
Bethesda has increased the stash limit overtime the more the game develops. It shouldn't be unreasonable to think that they still will in the future.
No its not like that. Without a scrapbox it just means you store your scrap in your stash instead. If you break down your junk into compeonents before storing it you can hold quite a bit.
And everyone can set up a home base in game without issue. The Scrapbox lets you save infinite scrap, but you don't really need infinite scrap. You'll see for yourself when you try it.
You miss very little by not subscribing currently.
It's hardly that bad without the scrap box, but you do have to be more selective, don't hold onto higher level weapons and armor you can't use, it wastes space, don't hoard loads of food, it'll go rotten unless it's pre-war packaged food, scrap most weapons and armor you find to unlock upgrades, ignore missiles, grenades, and mininukes, they just weight o much to be worth it,.
