How can I get the recipe for S'mores?

I'm trying to complete one of the Possum challenges and in that challenge you have to consume S'mores. Is there any way to get the recipe for S'mores other than the Event: Campfire Tales? Because that event doesn't happen often (I saw it happen once over a week after I started looking for it). Is there any other way?

Server hops for events. Unsure if there is any other way to get that recipe.

I've just completed the Event: Campfire Tales a second time and did not get the recipe. So you have to wait for this infrequent event to pop up, and even after that you have to hope the recipe even drops as a reward?

Yes, or you can gather the ingredients and ask someone to make the smores for you. If you want to gather all the ingredients i can craft em for you tonight.

You just need to eat them, not craft them.

campfire tales procs multiple times per play session.
s'mores drops more then i would like it to.
i had 2 extra recipes yesterday, dumped them in a suitcase at a trainstation.
i earned my recipe via the quest, takes some not typical components... i suggest you look up the recipe and start collecting the components.

It's unusual because this is the 3rd time I've seen the Event pop up in a 24 hour period and I hadn't seen it for 8 days before that. So I've done the Event three times. I did get the plan for the campfire tent but still no recipe for s'mores. If I collect the ingredients first, aren't they going to spoil if I don't use them soon?

Your best bet other than event camping is to try and search out player vendors with numerous plans available. More than like you'll run into one with it for sale.
