Not saying it is 100% your issue, but if your FPS goes too high you can get control issues and other problems. Cap it below 160 to stop it from potentially happening.
Swapping weapons out and back will usually resolve it.
It is the switching weapons that fixes it. For me it is mainly my Holy fire flamer that is doing in but other guns can too. It fires from either the far left or right of the screen instead of coming out of the weapons barrel.
Switching weapons will fix it but it can happen right away again at any time. Only started happening with the new update.
I have 500+ ammo for all guns on me, no dialogue, etc etc and I have this issue. the people gaslighting you in the comments are idiots and uninformed. this is 10000000% an active bug. i have a new (enough) pc (4060 32gb ram, 14th gen i5, 2TB SSD) theres is absolutely nothing my hardware or ingame is doing to cause this.
the switching weapons and going in and out of 1st and 3rd person eventually makes it work.
the only bit of "interesting" info i got from this thread was the stealth thing. this started happening the day i put a stealth legendary mod on my power armor. the person that mentioned the stealth may be on to something.
Use your gpu setting to lock the game @ 60fps (and NEVER, EVER go above 120.) this is a ANCIENT coded game from 2000 (or even before) and it cannot run at higher fps, some truly weird fookery happens when u do that. Before u rush off to post arguments, go lock your fps down to 60 and try again. (For AMD cards it is amd chill, unsure what it is for geforce but when I had a card I used it to lock it in, this issue is OLD. Like OLD old... was an issue with fo3, fo4, even skyrim and most def 76(which is just fo4 code btw)
