Explosive on weapons is useless with TWO notable exceptions

1 - As a use to tag lots of enemies in events to assure you get full instead of partial exp when they die... in this case you want Two shot explosive

2 - on the railway rifle where it changes the projectile type to instant hit


You would be better off looking for bloodied faster fire

Gauss Rifle is a heavy hitter for sure but its slow as it needs to charge up, assassins are worthless though, bloodied gauss rifle with vats hit chance and less ap cost or crit damage are amazing rolls for a weapon like this or a quad is also amazing as it does hit hard none the less, but assassins is a no go.

It was the only one that rolled explosives. Honestly most of the rolls sucked hard. A waste of 1500 scrip but now that I understand the rng is this bad, that means I can raise my prices on truly rare items in the shop

As an owner of a bloodied faster fire 50 cal on my PA heavy gunner i can say it is definitely the way to go. It is one of my better heavy weapons and a gun i keep coming back to and using all the time.

Had a bloodied explosive and a two shot explosive and a Vampires explosive in the past and they all have been moved on, but the bloodied faster fire rate with primed receiver is a keeper.

According to Fed76, an item pricing guide:

--Bloodied, Explosive .50 Cal
Quick vendor sale price is probably around 3000.
Finding right PC buyer could yield 5000-8000.
Niche buyers could pay over 12000.

Don't pay 20k if you don't have to.

yeah man i was pretty disappointed when i logged in and seen my BE gatling plasma is now only a 2 star and not explosive anymore AND my bloody explosive 50 cal isnt what it used to be im so sad about that ♥♥♥♥ i wish things didnt change this much

Why would a seller sell it for the so called standart" when the buy'er is asking and seems to really need the item right now, if the seller could sell it any day for 5K to 8K caps why go the extra mile to add a person to friend list and then go into the same world also have to be playing at the same time, seems like alot of work when the person could sell it in player vendor for 8K and would prolly be sold within the first day. I sold a bloodied explosive 50 cal for 22222 caps in my vendor today, i was playing for like an hour.

I hate sites like fed76, trying to dictate what a price should and should not be, the price is the price that the buy'er and seller is okay with, not what a webpage tells you and ohh boy is fed76 and the other scummy sites wrong all the time.

Dont get me wrong, caps in FO76 are a joke and so easy to get the 40K max cap that it is today, but still something like fed76 is not a good thing to lean up against or trust.

I have sold so many weapons for 22K caps when the fed76 site said it was worth 6K i close my shop more than its open because of this, i even started to buy several of the mutation plans at the whitespring bunker, think i have 10 or more of each of the mutation plans xD I have nothing to spend my caps on, but i aint gonna sell my rolled weapons for candy, its funny to me to see how many mutation plans i can get, then i will prolly sell those for candy when i get tirred of it, my prices will prolly be like 100caps each of the mutation plans, do you know what happens in the fed76 then? go figure.

Some people, especially those that haven't played in a while, would prefer not to get ripped off. I'm just giving the OP a a price from a site, that a lot of players use, to know how much it's actually worth. If someone were to charge 20k for it, at least the OP will know it's an overpay for an item. If you have an item worth 6k but you charge 22k, you are essentially ripping them off, even if they are willing to pay the price.

If you ever want to know the price of something (weapons or armor) or a source of reference, try:

You'd be surprised how much a single star on a three star item can change its price. That B/E .50 cal you mentioned that averaged between 5k-8k, if it were to have 90% reduced weight as a third star, it bumps up to 17k. This site will also tell you if the weapon is legit or not. Used to be a problem with explosive laser weapons some time ago, but they implemented a patch to disallow explosive on energy weapons.. except the inherit explosive on the gauss rifle.
