Is it too late to max out scoreboard? I'm currently rank 22
Honestly I haven't really played scoreboards at all, the last time I actually got into this game was right before Wastelanders. To be honest I'm getting very tired of this FOMO stuff all games are doing now, seems everything I play has some sort of "you need to invest all your time into THIS or else you will miss THESE items forever!"

Enough ranting lol. Is it still possible for me to grind and get the max? When does the season end? Because I didn't start playing again until 2 and a half months into the season

And no, I'm not willing to spend real money on leveling it up

Season ends next month, don't know the exact date. If you're ready to grind a bit it's still possible to finish the board. Buff up your intelligence and use XP buffs (lunchboxes do fine), join casual teams and farm higher tier public events, do all daily/weekly challenges etc and you should be able to finish it in time. It's actually possible to finish it in something like 6-7 hours with maxed XP buffs and relentless West Tek farming.

Thanks for the info. :) In that case OP has more than enough time to finish the board.

If you are unsure if you can make it i would suggest running westtek with nuke grenades for a while :)
I just got back to the game but quit it again right after i did the scoreboard as there is nothing new even when i have been gone since October, Atlantic city is trash imo.

Well here is a link to a video i made but all other FO76 content creators have done the same video, so you can just youtube seach "west tek exp farm"
Here is the link to my video though :)

Scoreboards and marathons are part and parcel of online gaming these days. They can be fun if done right, Fallout 76 system is pretty easy to be honest. Complete the 6 challenges each day and you will have the scoreboard completed before the end date (I think).

For me sadly, on a working day I don't have the time at night to complete all 6 or im too tired too but im not long off finishing the scoreboard myself.

If all else fails you can use atoms to rank up. Not sure the costs involved but being on rank 22, I believe it would cost you like 9,000 atoms to complete the board.
Nagol Feb 10, 2024 @ 5:34am
i'd say it's easily doable. If you have x2 score boost, use them on thursday, when new weekly challenges drop and try to complete many as you can whilte the boost is active, it last 24hrs
BizarreMan Feb 10, 2024 @ 5:34am
Okay, there's the short answer, and the long answer.

Short answer: Yes you can. There are people who are capable of completing the board in 24 hours without spending any atoms. They are just dedicated to grinding the heck out of certain high xp areas with fast resets.

Long answer: Yes you can. But there will be math based on the following parameters.

1) There is minimum of 28,000 score available per week. This excludes the 100 score weekly repeatable, any score boosters, Fallout 1st extra daily challenges or score boosts, double score or double xp events, re-rolling challenges and getting epic challenges, or instances where extra score challenges may be available.

2) Total amount of score required to complete the board is 220275.

3) You are currently at rank 22 - you have earned 26250 score so far.

4) Daily challenges are worth 2750. (excluding any of the things mentioned in point 1) So you have 8250 score left this week.

So now the math.

We have 3 days left in the this weeks challenges I will exclude this weeks weekly challenges from the math.

194,025 (completing the board)
- 8,250 (completing the dailies for the rest of the week)
- 168,000 (28,000 * 6 remaining weeks)
- 11,000 (March 14-18 is double score for daily challenges (4 days worth).
-----------
- 6,775 (You would end up at rank 98, or have to buy ranks at the end).

But as stated previously, there are other ways of getting the score.

There are free score boosts on the scoreboard that give you an extra 25% score for 24 hours. Apply them wisely, you can maximize their benefit. Get two days worth of challenges, and possibly most or all of the weekly challenges.

The biggest help to your score though, is the weekly repeatable. For every 10,000 xp you get 100 score. You will be required to roll it 68 times over the next 6 weeks and 3 days. You're going to say "Biz, that's an impossible task". And I'm going to say, no it isn't. Proper use of lunch boxes and drawing out some of the challenges in an expo, and you can get 2 or three weekly repeatables. Do the high mob spawn events whenever possible. That means jump into queen fights and hope they last a long time. Eviction Notice and Moonshine Jamboree are fantastic for rolling it as well. There is a double XP event on Feb 22-26. Grind your behind and you can get it.

It's going to take some work, but we're all pulling for you.

rank 22 up to rank 100 is 78 ranks and each rank is 150 atoms so its 11700 atoms needed xD

It was just a wild guess, but still 11,700 atoms equals (uk prices)

4000 + 1000 atoms = £31.99
4000 + 1000 atoms = £31.99
2000 + 400 atoms = £15.99

Grand total - 12,400 atoms costing £ 79.97. Just wow, a day's wage at minimum wage just to finish the score board.

And if he was at rank 1, and didn't plan on playing any more this season it would cost even more.

But, as I stated in my post. It is very easy to do without spending any money if one commits to playing every day for the next 6 weeks and 3 days. (okay 4 if you are going to play before the daily reset.

Not entirely true. That's from the Fallout Wiki, which doesn't take into account that there's an extra 25-score step between level 51 and 52 - it normally adds 25 per rank up, and 51 needs 2250 score, but 52 takes 2300 score, a 50-step up, and that adds the extra 1200 score for the back half of the board - the real total is 221475.

(I think they snuck that in there so that rank 100 ends with 3500, not 3475.)

A few people have mentioned that on the 'talk' page of that article, but the correction has never been made on the actual page. It doesn't throw your math off, really, so this is just a PSA.

This is true. And it's easily do-able. I finished most of the last seasons in about 42 days or so without excessive grinding - that's zero to 100, and you're already on 22 and have 45 days starting now. You got this!

Thanks for that clarification. I'll have to go back and redo my math. All it really does is add another 12 weekly repeatables. Still very doable.

"Fun" fact, guerrilla is the only build that hasn't got any new weapons since launch. :( Have 3 guerrilla-perked toons and while I love my 10mm pistols I'm super salty that there's no full auto mods for Crusader or any other new pistol like gauss and Circuit Breaker. CB is pretty crappy though and gauss isn't that great either but would really like to have full auto Crusader.

Totally agree, imo they should not have made the atlantic city update, instead they should have looked at weapons on what they could do, add as you say automatic mods to some of the pistols, maybe dual wielding the revolvers as they are under performing, stacking them like a true wild west gunsman, also silencer for the 10mm smg, and in general spend time to buff the underperforming weapons, its not always that damage buffs are needed but other options so the weapons become usefull or atleast something you can use.
I like the map of The Most Sensational Game but Tax Evasion is pretty meh. Both have somewhat meh quests too, personally like Pitt more.
They won't add dual wielding since it would require new character animations, their motto is clearly "quick, cheap & lazy" and new animations would require too much work. :P
10mm SMG without stock really should use guerrilla perks and have suppressor & reflex sight. Out of all weapon types we have SMGs are the ones that most often use both IRL. :P
