Gatling Plasma vs Gatling Laser
Which do you prefer, and why? I have a couple of Gatling Plasma weapons, am considering whether to switch to using Gatling Laser.

Laser, the cores are more easily obtained and recyclable

There is also the recharger you can get via the Pit DLC.

recharges 4 cores from near dead to full in less than 2 hours

If only the laser didn't do absolutely crap damage I'd use one too. I made a gauss minigun, got really lucky on the rolls, primed it and I haven't looked back.

Well, the Ultracite Gatlin Laser uses the same cores, if you increase the fire rate and also use the perk that gives 999 rounds per core, it doesn't do badly.

About to say, this. I keep an ultraceite glatling with prime cores and it may not be meta but it is pretty decent, especially at range and accuracy,

Edit: Forgot to mention, I love the gauss mini over the plasma, BUT the context ammo drop did not increase for it's 2 ammo types, so you will be constantly chewing through ammo and crafting ammo for it.

Gatling Plasma without question, if we hoard enough crafting materials and the right perks we can craft over 100 Ultracite Plasma Cores and it last for a very long time. Gatling Laser damage is too crappy to make it even a competition that only low level players will use.

Now the Prime for the Ultracite Gatlin requires Ultracite Cores, Unless one has a ton of resources to craft the cores, the only real other way to get them is the daily OPs, which its rare to get a full core, most are about 75%. I use the Ultracite Cores myself but it can be a hassle at times to keep up the core count (well ones that are worth something).

I'm going to get some rest you all have fun.
