EDIT. Typo. :P And got ninja'd again.
fo4 is the precursor game to all of them, the game starts before bombs drop day, then you go get to the vault and skip forward 200 years
fo76 you literally are released in your lifetime from the vault shortly after bombs drop day
I guess its also kinda the setting of the VR pod game that makes you a soldier in the alaska war DLC for what fo3? or NV or whatever it was, but IIRC that was just a simulation of events so isn't really set ahead of fo4
T51B has always been in circulation, but Beth took over from Interplay, the OG Lore dont have any old T45s in Mariposa, Navarro or Sierra Army Depot.
I'm sure other people will have their own takes as to the reasoning behind it. I would love to hear other people's views as to why.
Which is why we get to see the T60, X-01, the gold Vault in the area with the Secret Service and their armor and T65, I think the HellCat is a Marine PA made for rushing the beaches which is why it can bounce a lot of DR and there was a Marine unit there pre war for an exercise so there could be a Marine base close by,
The rest of the new PA we saw is either post war with local materials that can't be found anywhere else or made by commercial companies for their own use which is why the designs didn't show up on the West Coast.
Fallout 76 - 2102
Fallout - 2161
Fallout 2 - 2241
Fallout 3 - 2277
Fallout 4 - 2287
The lore and timeline is also thusly ignored and full of retcons and head scratchers.
Best to think of Fallout as a anthology series with self contained episodes than a serialised series.
