Once someone owns the item it is always in the Atomic Shop.
fallout 1st skins don't pop up until you have fallout 1st in atomic shop
I got Fallout 1st last week myself.
As far as I can tell, the NCR Ranger armor skin is permanently there for any sign ups.
Then they change the featured armor skin (currently is Bog Wanderer) when a new one is featured. So, unlike what I saw on other people's screens, new subscribers like us won't get the other versions of the NCR Ranger armor and the other versions of the Survival Tent.
Once you have subscribed, in the Atomic Shop, a new category "Fallout 1st" will appear and you have to "buy" (or rather pick up) them. Once picked up, they are permanent (according to what I have read) even when you unsubscribe. This means you can get the Bog Wanderer skin by subscribing now and then unsubscribe from next month, and you will still have the skin craftable at any workbench.
What I have read is that when you unsubscribe, you will lose the ability to put new scrap into the scrapbox but you can continue to use any scrap already in it. The scrap already in it will also not take up space. The Survival Tent will also not be available.
Only thing unconfirmed is the unique Fallout 1st emotes which I haven't found a proper answer online for whether they can still be used after the subscription ends. I will know by next month.
Based on all these, if you are someone who does not want to subscribe on an ongoing basis but does buy the atoms every now and then like me, it may be good to subscribe to Fallout 1st and immediately unsubscribe. This will grant Fallout 1st access for 1 month and you can dump all the scrap into the scrap box, get 1.6k atoms and get whatever featured item at that time, sorta like an Atoms bundle.
