Vending machines and common logic
Help me understand something:

1)Each vending machine can hold up to 30 items
2)You can have up to 4 vending machines
3)More vending machines means waste of building budget

Why do you need 4 machines instead of 1 to hold 120 items? Only reason I can think of is to sell vending machine skins?

Could be a nasty bug if they allow more than 30 items in a vending machine.

Not every limit needs to be about selling a solution in the Atom store.

myself i use:

1 for building plans
1 for recipes
1 for armour plans and weapon plans
1 for weapons and ammo

keeps things nice and neat, and easy for people to find things

do not think its about selling skins either. people use what they like usually the same skin even if they have more than one vender. its just a imposed limitation for balance. eventually you have to chose between things though they do give a good amount of space though it can add up when using decorating lots of things but once again it allows quite a bit.

this game uses resource management in many forms as part of its mechanics.

If they allowed 120 items in a vending machine then that quadruples the amount of clutter on the server as people would have 4 vending machines with 480 items in them.

Then someone would come along and say "Why only 120 per machine? Why not 480 per machine? Only reason I can think of is X" and we start this conversation over.

It's an MMO, banks, vaults, stashes, shops, vendors, continers, NPCs, trees, cheese and all the rest must have item limits or instead of a server you would need a server farm.

:rubs temples: It's like you deliberately misinterpreted his idea. I doesn't want 4 vendors with 120 each, he wants to save camp budget by having only one vendor per camp which can hold 120 items.

While I do like sorting things in my vendors, we have the category filter on vendor screens, so I'm not certain this is a bad idea. However, if I had bought the signs I see on some peoples' vendors, or the vendor paints, I might not be so keen.

You can have more than 30 items in a vending machine, stacked items like stimpacks, plans or ammo only takes one slot.

He didn't have an idea, he had a complaint. One I saw clearly and explained the reason for.

Also you really shouldn't be touching someone's place of worship.

If you have multiple people shopping at your camp it's much nicer to have more than one vending machine.

^ this guy have the point

when someone trading in vendor machine, you need to wait until he finishes
so why not build more vending machines, in that case there are many people queue vendor?

Not exactly a complaint. Just curious why would someone do it the way they did. Guess it makes sense for multiple shoppers, as suggested above.

When Bethesda was making this game they interviewed 3000 test gamers and asked them what their number one complaint was. Every single one of them answered "too many items in the vending machines"and thus the number was determined.

Also, this never happened but it just goes to show there is no way to know the answer to these questions so why do you feel the need to get upset about them? Why is there not twice as much money in my bank account right now as there is? I mean I could fit much more in there, it seems really pointless there is only as much as there is in there.... Someone should come along and put more in there because it can fit more.... Do you see how stupid you sound?

The point of forums is to have discussions. How stupid I or the choice of topic are, is irrelevant. If you think the thread is stupid feel free not to participate.

Funny enough, if you believe this is pointless, why are you wasting your time here?
