need advice for building CAMP under the map

i know i'm going to get a lot of backlash responses... but they way i see it, even if it's against EULA, and you could get banned if some nosy player (or 5) decides to report you, players who build under the map are only doing it to enjoy the CAMP building system even more. i think the fact that players can get banned just for having a CAMP that extends under the map is just bonkers. I would understand if this game had constant PvP like i hear it had at launch, and players were using this to hide or have an advantage, but there is little to no PvP going on in public lobbies... this isn't hurting or ruining the experience for anyone. so why is this punishable by a ban? and why does seeing someone's creations extending under the map trigger so many people in what is essentially a co-op multiplayer game?

with that said, when i build, i use the method where you put a symptomatic on a vault-tec mat, and then those on some stairs. this works fine and i've pretty much built entire CAMPs this way.

my issue is i don't want the stairs and foundation leading down to the rest of my CAMP to be visible. i've seen plenty of CAMPs where they are able to do it a different way, that doesn't show the stairs and foundation. just a symptomatic poking out and it looks much cleaner.

i'm hoping someone could provide me with a link to a video, or try to explain some more advanced techniques to building a better looking entrance to my underground. i'd appreciate any responses that aren't trying to tell me what i'm doing is wrong.

The initial method of how you get underground does not have to be the final method. Once you are underground, you can find a better location that hides the symptomatic more. Build it up from the upside down, and you should be fine.

I think it's bonkers that you are still being arrested in my country for buying weed, but no matter how stupid I think that is or however "I see it", that's the way it is.

Your feelings on the matter are irrelevant is my point.
