[Help] Black Screen, Audio Only on Startup
Just downloaded the game and launched it for the first time. Black screen only but the intro and menu audio plays in the background. I can hear some interaction sound effects if I press enter.

I have tried the following suggested solutions from my Google search regarding the issue:
(1) Verifying the integrity of game files through Steam

(2) Disabling the XBox Game Bar in Windows 10 by turning off the 'Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar' under the Windows Gaming settings.

I also ended the 'XBox Game Bar' Task in Task Manager.

(3) Enabling 'High-performance NVidia processor' under the NVidia Control Panel 3D Program Settings (it was the default option so that did not really change anything)

(4) Pressing Alt + Enter during the black screen. Nothing happened.

(5) Changed the Fallout76.ini configuration from Borderless Window to Full Screen

(6) Changed the default launch settings from Borderless Window to Full Screen (also tried Windowed) through NVidia GeForce Experience. Nothing worked.

(7) Restarting Steam and my PC

My Specs:
Intel Core i7-9750H
NVidia GeForce RTX2080
32GB RAM

My graphics driver is up-to-date.

My Windows is up-to-date.

The game is not blocked by my antivirus (it is in the exception list)

I have given the game permission through my Firewall (is it giving permission? idk but it's that Private/Public thingy just like what I did to other online apps)

Any suggestions on how to fix this black screen issue? I will appreciate any help with this. Thank you!

I was able to solve this by disabling v-sync in the FallOut76Prefs.ini. Under [Display] add the line:

iPresentInterval=0

I had to do this to get Fallout 4 to run as well. I'm running a RTX 2070 Super with a 300Hz screen. Just too modern for the old game engine.

Wierd, cause it runs fine like that on a crappy 300$ back up pc that runs my secondary account. Just occasionally when loading glitches and requires a relaunch. 98% of the time tho once loaded it plays fine, even with movies, internet searches, and whatever else running on the other monitor.
Well, a friend of mine gifted me Fallout 76 on Steam and guess what? Works fine. So therefore the problem lies with Microshit and their store version.

How do i get to where i need to be to disable the v sync and add said line?
It's stored in the "My Games" folder within your documents folder:
C:\Users\YOURNAMEGOESHERE\Documents\My Games\Fallout 76

Please tell me how to find this file. I have been looking into how to solve this same issue and it’s got me pulling hairs

It's in game folder: (disc name) / program files (x86) / Steam / steamapps / common / Fallout76

It's called just "Fallout76". There are two files called that, first is the app launcher and the second's one type is .ini and this is the one you're looking for.

Just need to open that with note and you can write down this line, I also recommend setting to read only in properties of Fallout76.ini after you change it to make sure the game wont change it by itself after launching.

Edit: I will add only that it didn't help in my cause, black screen was gone just after changing in the computer screen settings to 60Hz instead of 300Hz

I originally had successfully fixed the black screen issue by changing from 360hz to 60hz. However, now I'm having the issue again.... nothing is fixing it. I've tried everything

This worked for Fallout 76, but not for 4. Any ideas? Is there a different way to change it?

This absolutely worked for me today. For some unknown reason I set my game preferences to "default" today, and when I turned it off - did some yard work - then turned it back on - BLACK SCREEN :(. I updated drivers, did this and that, but changing this setting worked perfectly. Thank you!
