76 would be much better than 4 in general if it had mod support and offline mode. Stories in both games suck but 76 has a much better world to explore.

I didn't really mind the story in FO4 once I started using "Start Me Up", so I didn't have to be a parent and feel bad for not rushing the main quest.

I mean it still sucks that a baby was kidnapped and I think most people would want to help him, but it's easier to say "they're probably dead" and move on with your life (at least until you have a reason to believe he's alive), when you're not the baby momma.

I honesty though the overall story in 76 was pretty good too, it just kind of fell flat with no humans to talk to and no actual dialogue coming from the player.

So far I'm really enjoying the Wastelanders story and think the update helped fill out the issues with the orginal story as well.

I really wish the people on the hate train would actually give it a real chance or at least find something better to do than troll the forums and reviews.

Don't get me wrong the games not perfect but it seems 99% of their complains are pure bs that anyone who played more than 30 minutes would know is wrong or just ridiculous nitpicky stuff. At this point they just want to hate.

Fallout 4 can't even be considered a RPG. More like a Action FPS. There is barely any amount of roleplaying or decisions in it. Dialogues are always the same and there is only yes, yes, yes, no answer. Perks are horribly designed and dont have much to do with roleplaying. Replaying value is also rather low, unless you use mods. Only Far Harbor has some amount of roleplaying but that is 10% of the game, so not that relevant. With the new update FO76 is way better than 4. I hope they dont forget this again when making Fallout 5...

F04 doesn't have lags, enemies stuck/teleporting a lot, other players, has bunch of quests, was more impressive visually at its time of release, probably has mods to fix over-encumbered status.
So..not really? :P

Not hating on F76, mind you, I enjoy it despite these issues. Just sharing my experience (FO4 is my absolute favorite of first-person Fallout games).
And am happy that we now get to meet some alive NPCs instead of just corpses and vendor robots. Even if these NPCs mostly ignore as, like they are used to weird people roaming around.

Maybe I just haven't seen a proper NPC location in F76- so far saw that one bar and those Radical guys from main questline. Hope there's some cool stuff I've yet to see.

If you think the wastelanders update is better than fallout 4, then I really recommend that you try 4 with better mods. Dialogue mods are a must and take the game from the weird 4 dialogue options to a full fallout experience.
