I have only seen two (travelling together) since the update. They were near whitesprings. I was previously relying pretty heavily on the extra carry weight I could get by eating them, I am really missing them right now.

I just starting playing the game yesterday, and I encountered 8+ radstags on the road to the Overseer's Camp. They are showing up in pairs for me.

I have the extra meat Perk Card, so I've been living off of Grilled Radsteak for the past few levels and enjoying that sweet Carry Weight bonus.

From all of these other peoples experiences, it sounds like me and OP are just getting unlucky.

Some locations have Radstag corpses strung up. These count as "fresh," so you can always get Radstag meat and Hide from them. Check areas in the Forest especially for Raider, Mothman Cult or other camps with them in it.

There's a spawn right outside Flatwoods to the north-west across the creek. Just slaughtered a bunch on my new character.
