are railway spikes normally this heavy?
i recently switched from a handmade rifle to an automatic railway rifle. the damage is easily twice as much. but i noticed it weighs 17 pounds just for a stack of 840 spikes.

i already have the 2-star bandolier perk equipped... is there another way to reduce the weight of railway spikes??? or do i just have to deal with the weight in exchange for the loads of damage i'm doing with my new setup?

You have to deal with the weight. They are 0.2 each, so without the perk, you would be carrying 168 units of weight. 10% of that is still 16.8. Also, since bandolier is a 90% reduction, the weight can't be reduced further, since no weight reduction on an item can't go above 90%, even with multiple sources.

I do believe spikes do not reduce for ammo card.

You could try a piece of ammo reduction armour to see if it helps

Railway spikes are just an 8 inch hunk of steel. They aren't covered by either ammo reduction card, however they are covered by the 3* ammo weight reduction legendary mod on armor.

Where are people getting this info? The wiki says bandolier does, AND you can do the math yourself, which I did in my first post. They each weigh 0.2, and he has 840. 840 * 0.2 = 168. But they have a 90% weight reduction from the perk, and claims it weighs 17. 168 * 0.1 = 16.8 (which is almost 17).

Railway spikes are most definitely reduced by the Bandolier perk.

Why are you carrying 800+ spikes????????
When I was using an RR I carried around 100.
You dont need 800 on you.
Thats what camps are 4.
It is called being well-supplied, anyone who has run a full-auto RR knows there is no such thing as too many railway spikes. It is the sign of a well-disciplined mind that is planning to pull his weight during the next boss event. This is the mindset of a true gentleman gamer. And no, you do not stash railway spikes because weight reduction doesnt apply to ammo in the stash, you equip Bandolier (2) and get grinding.
